Cain showed a wide smile as he saw the massive wounds his attack had carved into the Heart of the Root. He didn't stop for a moment. He waved his hand, generating countless invisible blades that carved into the world-sized tumor, severing more and more pieces of it with every sweep.
Anark began to smile as well. With every fresh wound Cain inflicted, the Heart of the Root weakened further, allowing Anark to push it out of the Universe Wall faster and faster.
The Champions of the Root and High Lord Godfrey displayed dread and escalating anxiety as they watched the situation unfold. Things had reached an extremely dangerous point for them.
If they didn't act immediately, the Heart of the Root would be expelled from the universe entirely—and once they lost their connection to the core of their cosmic power, every one of them would die under the might of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.
