Anark, Meylin, and the rest of the leadership of the Nine Empyrean Sun Alliance began discussing their next move.
The recent victory had given them momentum, but none of them were foolish enough to believe the war had been won. The Worlds of the Root still stood, and the corruption radiating from them remained a deadly obstacle.
If they wanted to finish the war, they needed a solution.
There were many possible ways to deal with the corrupting aura of the Root worlds. The most basic option was simply to improve their cultivation bases. Stronger powerhouses would naturally be able to endure the corruption for longer periods.
Unfortunately, that solution required time—something they did not have.
The Root was evolving constantly, and waiting decades for gradual improvement would only allow their enemy to grow even more dangerous.
Because of that, they began searching for alternative paths.
