Chapter 402 - The Tournament of Power 27/27

Jayr POV - Dragon Ball Universe, Null Realm - Age 780

Shortly after the quick series of events that culminated in the elimination of Top and Cell at the hands of Imperialdramon and Goddramon, the Grand Minister calmly announces, "The constants Top-san from the 11th Universe, and Cell-san from the 7th Universe have been eliminated!"

This immediately causes Orphèe and Goza's battle to stop as they also take a moment to observe the current state of the Tournament while also taking a closer look at their surroundings and remaining opponents and allies.

At the same time, Jiren, whose battle with Goku and Vegeta was briefly interrupted by the cataclysmic clashes of the previous battles, is clearly disappointed in his teammates as he snorts and comments, "Heh. How disgraceful. Although it shouldn't have surprised me."

Hearing that, Goku asks in a confused tone, "What are you talking about?" followed by Vegeta, who simply clicks his tongue in annoyance.

Then Jiren simply kicks both of them away before he looks at both Goddramon and Imperialdramon, especially this last one, and says, "It's stunning that you could actually unleash so much power after transforming again. You were able to defeat someone like Top. Well done."

After a brief moment of silence, Jiren senses that everyone is focusing on him, chuckles, and says, "Heh. There's something I would like you to see."

As the others look on, Jiren yells and begins powering up to unleash his hidden power to the point that he unleashes powerful gales and shockwaves that cause further destruction in the already ruined fighting stage.

Soon, he finishes powering himself up and is now surrounded by an intense, fiery energy, amazing the Zenos, who comments.

"Whoa! Look, look, Jiren's on fire!"

"Like actual fire!"

"That is so cool!"

"But not actually cool!"

While Goku and Goza are likewise impressed that he was hiding such monstrous strength, Vegeta, on the other hand, mocks Jiren for only getting serious now that all his teammates are gone before he cockily charges Jiren, forcing Goku to join in the attack while Goza resumes his battle with Orphèe.

At the same time, Imperialdramon and Goddramon look at each other for a few moments before they decide on their next move.

Imperialdramon and Goddramon decide to join Orphèe to help him battle Super Saiyan 4 Goza, but even in a 3-against-1 fight, though, Goza still proves to be a difficult opponent to face, especially since Orphèe isn't used to fighting together with Imperialdramon and Goddramon.

On top of that, they are still not going all out as they all have reasons for waiting for the right moment to go all out and give a decisive blow to their opponent.

Goza is obviously waiting for his father to achieve the Perfect Ultra Instinct like he did in canon, so he is just focusing on keeping my team from interfering too much.

My team, on the other hand, has the clear numerical advantage, and if the situation remains in this state, we will win in the end, and because of this, they are fine with stalling for time.

On the other side, the battle between Vegeta, Goku, and Jiren is much more one-sided as Jiren quickly overpowers them before he sends Vegeta crashing and tries to follow up to kick him.

However, Goku quickly knocks him out of the way, taking the brunt of the attack himself. However, rather than be thankful, though, Vegeta is annoyed at Goku's "unnecessary" action, stating that Jiren is his to defeat.

Soon, the fighting resumes, but it proves to be equally ineffective as Jiren blocks all their attack, then he blocks one of Vegeta's punches by grabbing it before he compliments, "An impressive strike. With these kinds of attacks, you could outmaneuver someone like Top. But that won't get you close to winning against me."

After saying that, Jiren retaliates with one of his own fiery punches that knock Vegeta out of his Super Saiyan Blue Evolved state.

At the same time, Goku fires a Kamehameha at him, but Jiren erases it with a mere uppercut; however, Jiren is caught off-guard by Vegeta, who moves behind him and hits him with a point-blank range Big Bang Attack.

Vegeta is caught up in the explosion from his own attack and injured, but he still manages to wound Jiren in the back.

Angered, Jiren counterattacks, but Vegeta retreats and joins back up with Goku, briefly telling him that even Jiren can be damaged if hit unguarded by such a large attack and that if they use coordinated attacks to create an opening and then attack Jiren with an even bigger attack, they might be able to win.

As Goku and Vegeta furiously tag-team Jiren, on the other floating piece of the fighting stage Imperialdramon and Goddramon keep their distance and fire off blasts at Goza, but Goza doesn't fall for the their trick, and easily deflects them before he rushes at Orphèe, who creates a series of barriers using soundwaves to block him, but he smashes through them all and attacks.

At the same time, Goku and Vegeta find an opening and fire their own beams at Jiren from different directions, but Jiren blocks them with his fiery aura, which then further expands until it causes a massive explosion that rocks the fighting stage.

The Zenos immediately wonder if Goku and Vegeta have lost, but when the dust clears they can see that Goku and Vegeta are protected by Goza, who immediately noticed his father and Vegeta's predicament and without any hesitation, he teleported by their side and used his immense power to not only protect them with an energy barrier, but also push back the explosion with the force of his own energy.

At the same time, I see that Imperialdramon, Goddramon, and Orphèe are simply watching this scene from a distance without taking advantage of this opportunity to attack them, as they have no intention of interfering with what is about to happen.

As their barrier burst and they topple down to the arena floor, Goku and Vegeta realize that Goza had saved the two of them before Goza asks them if they are okay, as they both are back to their base form and look clearly exhausted.

With Goku still on the ground because he is quite drained by all the battles he has gone through, Vegeta struggles back to his feet, claiming, "I don't need either yours or Kakarot's help!" before he focuses on Jiren and says, "Jiren, I hope you're ready. 'Cause I'm going to knock the hell out of you."

Then, Vegeta challenges Jiren on his own, but he's no longer able to even become Super Saiyan.

Undeterred, Vegeta still takes on Jiren in his regular form, but is clearly outmatched. Jiren even tells Vegeta to go and drop out of the fighting stage, but he refuses to give up.

However, Vegeta is soon pummeled by Jiren's blows, and he is knocked over the edge of the fighting stage.

Through sheer will, Vegeta manages to hold on with one hand, and even if he should be out of stamina, Vegeta remembers his family and his promise to Cabba, and manages to pull himself back up into the fighting stage and return to the fight.

However, the result doesn't change as he continues to be knocked around, and in a desperate attempt, he even tries to pull off one of Jiren's arms, with predictably unsuccessful results.

Jiren's retaliation knocks Vegeta out of the fighting stage once again, but this time, by sheer chance, his boot catches on a floating piece of rubble.

As Vegeta hangs there by his foot, Belmod asks the Grand Minister if this counts as a ring-out, but the Grand Minister explains that the rubble counts as part of the fighting stage, so Vegeta is still in the match.

Before he can rest too much, though, Vegeta once again returns to fight Jiren, who can't understand what it is that keeps driving Vegeta to fight, but Vegeta says a blank-faced guy like Jiren could never understand what it means to fight for others.

Thinking about those he is fighting for one last time, Vegeta fires off a Final Flash, but it fails to harm Jiren, who is, if nothing else, impressed by Vegeta's pride.

Then Jiren sends Vegeta flying out of the fighting stage once more, and with no way out this time, Vegeta curses himself for being unable to keep his promise and sheds tears while apologizing to Bulma and Cabba for his failure.

Still, he donates his remaining energy to Goku before falling out of bounds, and revitalized, Goku gets back on his feet, ready to fight for those Vegeta loves.

As the Grand Minister formally announces Vegeta's defeat, Vegeta materializes in the bleachers, where Krillin feeds him a Senzu Bean. At the same time, Beerus congratulates Vegeta for doing so well, and Whis is happy Vegeta is safe.

Back on the fighting stage, Jiren still can't understand the point of Vegeta leaving things up to Goku, especially since there is still Goza, who seems to be much more rested than he is, still doubting the trust of others.

Goku wonders if that's what Jiren really thinks and begins to fight, but even as a Super Saiyan Blue with Vegeta's energy, he is still quickly overwhelmed by Jiren, making him comment that Goku has reached his limit, but Goku knows he can't lose now that everyone has entrusted things to him.

While Jiren continues to beat up on the helpless Goku, the members of my team watching from a distance realize that the climax of this tournament is quickly approaching, and so they gather their energies, preparing for the final battle, to the point that Imperialdramon quietly unleashes all his power, transforming into Imperialdramon: Fighter Mode.

In this humanoid form, he has blue skin and tail, red wings, and his whole body is covered in black armor with white and red parts and golden decorations. The previous head became a chest plate, revealing a more humanoid head, while the Positron Laser on its back is now equipped to its right arm.

Even Goza is doing the same as a red glow radiates from his body, a sign of him ascending to the Super Full Power Saiyan 4 state much to the shock of the people watching thaat can't help but be baffled by just how much power they were still hiding, especially those from the 11th Universe who start to get worried about Jiren who is alone.

At last, Goku is one punch away from defeat, but as Jiren closes in for the finishing blow, Vegeta yells his encouragement, and Goku reflects on how everyone has put their faith in him.

Suddenly, Goku dodges Jiren's punch and returns to the Ultra Instinct Sign form as when he fought Jiren and Kefla before.

Not only does Goku effortlessly dodge Jiren's next few attacks, but he even manages to land a heavy blow of his own, amazing Whis, who didn't think that Goku would show this form once more at the eleventh hour, while Beerus has been looking forward to seeing Ultra Instinct once more.

On the flipside, Belmod is annoyed at how Goku repeatedly tries to break through his limits, while Khai thinks it might be troublesome for him to have activated this form so close to the end of the tournament.

Even Anato thinks that Goku might master Ultra Instinct this time around, while the Zenos are happy to see this cool-looking form again.

Having awakened the Ultra Instinct Sign for the third time, Goku starts fighting back against Jiren.

Having awakened the Ultra Instinct Sign for the third time, Goku starts fighting back against Jiren, at the same time, as if reaching a tacit agreement, Goza, Imperialdramon, Goddramon, and Orphèe also resume their battle.

But this time, they aren't holding back any more making this battle much more chaotic and destructive, and immediately one thing becomes clear, Orphèe is now starting to fall behind as Imperialdramon, Goddramon, and Goza kick up the pace of the battle even more to the point that his Cloth is now showing clear signs of damage after exchanging quite a few blows with Goza.

Goza also takes notice of this and immediately focuses most of his offense on Orphèe, forcing my Digimon Partners to come to his aid, putting them more on the defensive despite the fact that they are in a 3-against-1 fight.

Focusing back on Goku and Jiren's battle, I notice that while Goku's movements have grown sharper than before, he is still unable to deal Jiren a decisive blow.

This is because of the same problem he had before when battling Kefla; he can't help but think while attacking, which interferes with Ultra Instinct's unconscious movement, thus disrupting his own rhythm.

To cope with this weakness, Goku adopts the same strategy as before and charges up a Kamehameha as he draws closer to Jiren, and once close enough, he fires his blast at close range, but Jiren blocks it with a Power Impact, and then he uses it to counterattack Goku, generating a massive explosion.

Goku is now falling toward the fighting stage floor, but he is fine, as it turns out, he avoided a direct hit by using the flow of his Kamehameha as a barrier, making the Deities of the 11th Universe comment.

"He's quite persistent."

"Hmph. There's no need to worry. So he knows how to block. But a strong defense will only get him so far. Without an offense to match, he has no chance of victory."

"I agree, Belmod-sama. And if Jiren continues to attack, that defense will eventually crumble. His victory is just a matter of time."

"Hm. Yes, indeed."

"Hm... What a wasted effort... With his incomplete Ultra Instinct, all he's doing is delaying the inevitable."

However, Vegeta points out, "Tch. And all you're doing is running your mouth! Do you even listen to yourself? Just now, you called it 'incomplete', which implies he hasn't fully mastered it yet. And if you're stupid enough to ignore the obvious implications of that, then I don't even know where you get off calling yourself a 'god'."

Hearing that, both Khai and Belmod seem annoyed by his words and start to accuse and mock him.

"You watch yourself, mortal."

"Oh, come on. Are you suggesting that he can master Ultra Instinct in the time he has left? Please! Hahahaha! You're a fool! That's impossible!"

At this point, Vegeta stands up and rebuts, "And you'd bet your life on that? Forty-eight minutes. That's all we were given for this Tournament of Power. Yet in that brief time span, we Saiyan warriors have shattered our limits time after time! You've seen it with your own eyes, Destroyer. Moreover, Kakarot and his son aren't the only opponents you have left! There are still those 3 warriors from Jayr's Team who are also as strong as Jiren, maybe even more! I think that among all the remaining teams, the one who should be fretting the most is yours!"

Belmod seems disturbed by Vegeta's words and orders Jiren to ring Goku out immediately before focusing his attention on my team.

In response, Jiren jumps toward the still falling Goku to finish him, but before he can reach his target, Goku unleashes a ferocious roar that stops him in place while generating strong gales before he breathe deeply before taking Jiren on again, and while at first, it seems like he's corrected himself, he still fails to turn the tables, however, the heat and energy produced by Goku gets more and more intense to the point that Khai and Top are amazed that the heat radiating from Goku's body is even reaching them out in the bleachers, and Belmod again urges Jiren to finish Goku off at once.

Jiren responds by showering Goku with an incessant barrage of rapid-fire punches, which not only forces Goku to have his hands full blocking these countless blows, but the attacks are causing the ground beneath him to crumble away, meaning that he will drop out of bounds before too long.

At the same time, I notice that the battle between my team and Goza has also grown in intensity as Goza has just sent Orphèe crashing into one of the few floating, ruined parts of the fighting stage and tries to finish him off with a vary powerful Kamehameha when Imperialdramon and Goddrame immediately come to his aid by firing off a Positron Laser and God Flame starting an impactful energy clash that makes the whole Null Realm shake.

However, Piccolo and the others, who are too focused on Goku and Jiren's battle to take notice of it, worry about Goku's chances, but Beerus simply tells them to shut up and watch, and though Belmod thinks that Beerus has resigned himself to fate. Soon, Top notices sparks as Goku's fists begin to clash against Jiren's.

Then it becomes clear that Goku once again improved himself as his arms start blurring more and more, matching his opponent's blows, and soon, he lands a powerful blow to Jiren's chest, knocking him back.

After that, Goku fully unleashes his white hot Ki that seems to form a small galaxy as it lights up the whole fighting stage before he breathes deeply again, gathering the Ki around him into his body.

Watching this, Jiren realizes that he must respond in kind, and powers up even further, giving off tremendous heat of his own then he concentrates his Ki into a single ball that he fires at Goku, but the next moment, a Goku's figure, now covered in a "shell" of black and bright white light, appears behind him holding the ball in his hand.

Crushing the ki ball, the now shining Goku moves towards Jiren, dodging his punch and landing a few attacks of his own.

The Zenos continue to be impressed at Goku's newfound power, and the Grand Minister declares that this is indeed a super turn of events.

Beerus and Whis can tell that, incredibly enough, Goku has managed to reach the completed version of Perfected Ultra Instinct.

As Goku goes on knocking Jiren around with ease, the glow surrounding his body crumbles away, revealing his new appearance in the Perfected Ultra Instinct Form.

This form is essentially identical to the initial state of Ultra Instinct Sign, albeit with the user's hair becoming silver in color.

The hairstyle is slightly wilder and more solid than normal, having no loose strands, while the eyes take on a more stern, defined shape, sporting silver-colored irises and visible pupils.

He also emits a complex silver and blue aura consisting of rippling, fire-like energy, complete with sparkling particles of a magenta color.

While Goku, who has finally achieved Perfected Ultra Instinct, tells Jiren that their true battle begins now making Jiren very frustrated by the setback, another unexpected event suddenly catches everyone's attention not giving them not even the chance to fully digest Goku's radical transformation, to the point that even Goku and Jiren look away focusing on the still ongoing energy clash between my Digimon Partners and Goza.

While Goku and Jiren fought, my Digimon Partners' God Flame and Positron Laser kept colliding and competing against Goza's Kamehameha, trying to consume one another and proceed to their targets, and slowly but surely, my Digimon combined might was able to gain a clear advantage to the point that Goza's Kamehameha was almost completely pushed back.

However, as Goza kept struggling against their immense might, his Ki kept rising until suddenly it completely filled his whole body to the very limit and with a ferocious roar, Goza also broke through his limits unleashing a massive galaxy-like magenta Ki very similar to the one released by Goku a few moments ago making the Zenos exclaim in wonder and amusement.

The next moment, the galaxy-like magenta Ki concentrated back into Goza's body, revealing his figure, which has also gone through a significant change, while a flowing magenta aura reminiscent of Perfected Ultra Instinct gently envelopes his body.

His hair lengthened further, taking on an appearance close to that of Super Saiyan 3, becoming reddish orange with darker shading, and the normally reddish fur has now taken on a magenta hue.

This is without any doubt the ultimate evolution of the Super Saiyan 4 transformation, the Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker.

(Image Here - Goza SSJ4 Limit Breaker)

A form that, in the hands of someone like Goza, has a power that is without any doubt equal to that of Goku in his Perfected Ultra Instinct state.

The next moment, Goza's Kamehameha becomes immensely more powerful and begins to quickly overpower my Digimon Partners' combined attack.

At the same time, the Deities can't help but react in shock and disbelief to Goza's sudden transformation as they immediately realize how similar to Goku's Perfected Ultra Instinct his current state is, and at this point, Belmod and Khai truly start to worry about the result of this Tournament of Power while the 7th Universe's morale rises higher and higher.

Just as it looks like Goza's Kamehameha is about to completely overpower my Digimon Partners' combined might, a very familiar tune of a lyre can be heard echoing all over the Null Realm.

I feel an enormous pressure caused by the limitless expansion of a familiar kind of Cosmo coming from Orphèe, and focusing on him, I see his figure donning a mostly destroyed Cloth slowly standing up from the crater while playing his lyre.

Seeing that, I can't help but smile and mutter, "He has finally decided to go all out... It's about time!"

This is followed by Orphèe opening his eyes and calmly muttering, "This was such an eye-opening experience. So many powerful and proud warriors all fighting for all kinds of reasons... It has stirred something buried deep within my soul that I thought I had forgotten. Yes, I am a musician and I love music from the bottom of my heart... But! I'm also a Saint of Athena, and when needed, I fight for justice and to protect humanity!"

All of a sudden, all the broken pieces of the Silver Cloth on his body start glittering like tiny flames, which soon become a blazing, pure silver flame that covers his whole body.

Then, with a pulse of Cosmo, the flame is blown away, revealing Orphèe's figure wearing once again his now intact Cloth, but something is clearly different about it.

First of all, now the Cloth covers almost all his body, the headpiece has the same shape, but with sharper edges and slighly bigger size, the chest piece became even more ornate and detalied joined with the waist piece that became bigger covering more of the pelvis area, but maintaining the freedom of movement, the shoulders pieces also became sharper, while the arms and legs pieces are almost the same.

But without any doubt, the biggest change is the addition of two sets of wings on his back and his lyre that became bigger and even more ornate.

This is the result of Orphèe's Cosmo breaking through its mortal limit, touching the Divine, and the combination of my blood being infused into his Cloth, allowing it to evolve into the Lyra God Cloth.

(Image Here - Lyra Orphèe God Cloth)

Shortly after that, Orphèe burns his Cosmo and plays his lyre before firing several strings of energy from his fingertips while calling out, "Stringer Overture!"

Each one of the strings of energy is travelling at a speed faster than light, spiraling over the combined energy wave fired by my Digimon Partners, further enforcing it, causing it to once again push Goza's Kamehameha back.

Meanwhile, Goku focuses back on the battle and begins his counterattack against Jiren, impressing with the Perfected Ultra Instinct's speed, proving his decisively superior might, easily outclassing Jiren almost entirely.

Jiren is furious by this and declares in a raging tone, "It's not possible. I cannot lose! I won't accept defeat! Might makes right... and might alone. Without strength, we have nothing! If I don't win, then all my effort, all I've struggled to achieve, all of it will have been pointless! I'll lose everything, just like I did before. And I absolutely refuse to go through that again! I cannot... I will not! IYHAAA!"

Jiren then powers up with an explosive storm of fiery Ki, and with his heightened Ki, Jiren seems to gain the upper hand on Goku, knocking him around and finishing off with a big blast that leaves him flat on the ground.
