Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Look Into Her

In the previous life.

Hazel Allison, who knew that her arrangements were disrupted last night, arranged for those men to enter the room before the live broadcast started, staging a scene to fake an unexpected revelation of Charlotte Allison's night of debauchery.

This was also the beginning of Charlotte Allison's disastrous life.

Rebirth in this life.

Last night, Charlotte Allison pretended to be drugged. After arriving at the suite, she waited for the people Hazel arranged to arrive, then had the police she notified come and arrest them, leaving Hazel empty-handed this morning.

She, who hadn't slept a wink, showed no signs of fatigue, but was instead in high spirits.

Hazel Allison quickly composed her expression and looked down at her phone. The live stream screen was overwhelmed with comments about Charlotte Allison, and the number of viewers had reached its peak.

Though puzzled by last night's events, she interacted with Charlotte with apparent ease.

After a few interaction questions, Hazel Allison linked arms with Charlotte and said, "Sister, let's go have breakfast over at Morning Sun Road."

"No, I'm eating with him." Charlotte withdrew her arm, stood up, and raised her chin slightly, signaling her to leave.

Usually, Charlotte would accede to almost all her requests, but today she declined the invitation to have breakfast together. Hazel Allison didn't think much of it.

She left with her entourage and, after a hasty goodbye to the live-stream audience outside the door, found a secluded corner to make a phone call.

In the suite.

Soon after Hazel Allison left, breakfast was delivered, and Charlotte knocked on the door to Lucas Quinn's room.

When Lucas opened the door, he appeared sleepy, with an innocent and dreamy look. His slightly curled short hair was tousled, adding to his boyish charm.

"Grab some breakfast. I'll take you back to school." Charlotte said.

"Okay." Lucas replied, yawning.

Before starting breakfast, Lucas took a bottle from his pocket, poured some pills out to take, but Charlotte stopped him, asking, "What medicine is that?"

Lucas turned the bottle around to show her.

Charlotte noticed the bottle was labeled with "vitamin," but the pills Lucas poured out were herbal pills.

Lucas also realized the pills weren't right. Just as he was about to explain, Charlotte said, "There's something wrong with this medicine. Don't take it. I'll send you some good ones."

Her suspicion was based on some details from the previous life that had caught her attention, so she needed to investigate the ingredients and origin of these pills.

Lucas watched as Charlotte took the pills from his hand, closed the bottle, and said, "I'll keep these first. I'll give them back once I'm sure there's no issue."

Her seriousness made him unconsciously nod in agreement, "Alright."

After finishing breakfast and dropping Lucas off at school, Charlotte only drove away once she saw him enter the school gates.

Upon entering the school gates, Lucas turned back, seeing Charlotte's car turning around and leaving, then took out his phone and dialed a number.

The call was quickly answered, and the voice on the other end was respectful and probing, "Sir, are you okay?"

Lucas raised an eyebrow, slightly rebellious, "Not too well."

The other end immediately sounded nervous and worried, "Sir, you know about your own health, you shouldn't be so absorbed with beauty, like with Mr. Allison."

Lucas chuckled, speaking sharply, "What kind of trash are you filling your head with to spout such nonsense?"

The person on the other end seemed embarrassed and reminded, "Sir, you should come to the club again sometime. There are two more bottles of medicine that need to be taken together."

Lucas: "Investigate what was done to the medicine I had this time, and also look into Charlotte Allison, how much she knows about me."

"Yes, sir."
