Charlotte Allison returned home to find that Hazel Allison's family had already moved out, taking all the hired help with them. Only Lee's wife, Mrs. Lee, and an old chef remained.
The old chef had been brought home by her grandfather when he was young, and he had deep ties with the Allison Family and wouldn't leave unless there was a major change.
Mr. and Mrs. Lee had been with the Allison Family for ten years, since the days when Mr. Allison was still around.
Mrs. Lee looked at Charlotte, troubled, and said, "It was Allison who hired those people. Now that he's moved out, naturally they're going along with him."
Charlotte sat on the sofa, her eyes lowered as she sent a message, "Hmm, I understand."
Mrs. Lee then suggested, "Charlotte, since you're so busy usually, why not leave the hiring to me?"
