Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: You Can't Fake Worry

His eyes were still filled with anxiety: "Are you okay?"

He had watched from the balcony as she went into the water and stayed still, suddenly panicking and rushing downstairs.

When he saw her emerge from the water, he sighed in relief while feeling a bit foolish. Charlotte Allison was clearly holding still on purpose, why did he instinctively think she was drowning!

Charlotte wiped the water off her face, leaned against the edge of the pool, looked at the mismatched shoes on his feet, and said, "You're wearing the wrong shoes."

Lucas Quinn: ...

"I just like wearing them this way." He looked down at her with a hint of gritted teeth.

"Okay, suit yourself." Charlotte laughed, brushed her long hair off her shoulders, splashing a bit of water, and asked cheerfully, "Did you see me from the balcony earlier?"

He must have seen her underwater from the balcony, thought something happened, and hurried down in mismatched shoes.

He was worried about her.

She was quite pleased.
