The next afternoon, Charlotte Allison and Price departed from Stride City Airport, flying back to Kingstown.
The driver picked them up at the airport, and after a brief stop at the company, Charlotte drove off.
In a secluded corner on the second floor of a café, she spotted a low-profile man dressed in black and wearing a baseball cap.
The man handed her a worn-out brown paper bag filled with items.
"Those people are tight-lipped. This is all I've found out. Now I'm under pressure from above to release them. I have to let them go within these two days. Be careful on your end," the man in black said in a low voice, his face hidden in the shadow of the cap's brim.
"Yes, I understand, and thank you," Charlotte replied, taking the brown paper bag.
