Lucas Quinn entered the room, recalling what Allen Sheldon had mentioned, and glanced at the photo on the tall cabinet against the wall by the door.
He walked over, leaned down to lightly press his lips to hers, and took the book from her hand, saying, "No more reading."
She was always like this, either working or reading, as if idleness were a waste.
In the past, while busy with work, she often went to rest very late.
Since he's been by her side, her sleeping schedule has become much more regular, especially after injuring her leg. Every night by 10:30, he had to urge her to rest.
Today was an exception, because of the Sheldon Family's visit, because of the rain, and because he wasn't by her side.
"I really need to stay by your side all the time to keep an eye on you," he joked.
"I chatted late into the night with them, and I'm not sleepy yet," Charlotte Allison explained, ruffling his damp hair with her fingers, "Little kid, go dry your hair."
