"You need to be extra careful," Ethan Bert reminded Charlotte Allison worriedly.
"Mm, I will, Ms. Bert. Thank you for your hard work. Please go and rest," she replied softly.
"Alright, you should rest early too. When I just passed by your room, I saw the light was on, and Quinn is still waiting for you," Ethan Bert said with a smile.
"I'll rest after I finish reading this document." Charlotte nodded.
"Then you get busy." Ethan kindly tidied up the empty coffee cups on the table for her and left, closing the door behind.
On the way downstairs, she saw Lucas Quinn in the kitchen, cooking seafood porridge.
"Quinn, are you hungry?" Ethan Bert asked as she approached.
"No, Charlotte didn't eat much at dinner, so I'm cooking some late-night snack for her," Lucas explained.
Ethan Bert looked at him gratefully, happy on behalf of Mandy Versta, who had passed away years ago. Charlotte was no longer alone; there was someone who could take care of her and whom she liked by her side.
