After Daniel's pant cuffs and shoes were cleaned, he inquired about the whereabouts of the Chalmers Family's maid, Victoria Hayes, and had someone take him to her.
"Mr. Daniel, you are too kind. It was our hired temporary worker who made the mistake. You don't blame them but came to visit; you really are a great person." The servant complimented him all the way.
Victoria Hayes was in the servants' changing room, having already treated her wound and changed into her own clothes while tidying her work attire, as if being dismissed by the homeowners for making a mistake.
Daniel feigned concern by asking a few questions, to which Victoria Hayes did not respond; the servant leading the way thought she was ungrateful.
Just as Daniel was about to suggest the servant leave so he could speak with Victoria Hayes alone, Miss Daniel arrived with Mrs. Daniel.
