Polly Sutton clicked her tongue; they hadn't even started yet, and it turned into talking about daughters. President Parker's desire for a daughter was just too obvious.
"What if it's a son, then what?" Polly pinched his cheek again, "And has your slow-boil method started to show results?"
"We'll find out tomorrow, go to sleep." Victor Parker took Polly Sutton back to the bedroom, "It won't be too long."
Polly Sutton looked at Victor's confident demeanor and decided to trust him for now.
The next morning, Victor woke up early and took the family out, claiming he was taking Polly Sutton with them just for fun, but didn't actually intend to take her.
Polly wasn't particularly bothered. Once she was ready, she went to school, letting the father and son deal with their own matters.
