Jackson led Buddy Corruck, who had just been to identify the body, back to the office.
Buddy Corruck's face showed a sorrowful expression, his eyes bloodshot, as if he had been crying.
Luke brought him into the conference room and gestured for him to sit down.
Buddy Corruck sat weakly by the desk, rubbing his cheeks vigorously, choking up, "Have you caught the culprit who killed my wife?"
"Not yet, the case is still under investigation." Luke sat across the conference table, "Would you like a cup of coffee?"
"No, I just hope you catch the killer soon." Buddy Corruck said, clenching his fists tightly.
Luke nodded, "Mr. Buddy Corruck, I understand how you feel. We will do our utmost to solve the case and catch the murderer of your wife as soon as possible."
"Thank you." Buddy Corruck sighed, reflecting, "If... if only I hadn't gone on that business trip. If I were home, this might not have happened, I would have protected my wife, kept her safe."
