"Ah Yu, what's wrong?"
Song Wei hurriedly stepped forward to check on Jun Yu.
But Jun Yu was trapped in a nightmare, couldn't hear anything, and couldn't wake up on his own. Her words couldn't reach him.
"Ah Yu?"
Song Wei moved closer, grabbed Jun Yu's hand that was under the quilt, and shook him, but it seemed her grip was too light, barely effective, and Jun Yu still didn't wake up after a while.
"Help..." Jun Yu continued to cry for help.
Anxious, Song Wei lightly slapped Jun Yu's face; it wasn't working, so she did it harder.
She slapped down hard, even hurting her own hand, and Jun Yu finally woke up from his nightmare. Yet fear still lingered in his eyes.
At that moment, Jun Yu desperately wanted a lifeline.
Conveniently, Song Wei was right beside him.
He pulled Song Wei into his arms, as if finding some comfort amidst his anguish, holding her tightly as though she were a relief from the hell he'd been trapped in.
