"Eris? Eris, what do we do?" Jesse asks fearfully.
Chatters and screams spread throughout the capital as the fairies and humans watched the giant dome which was all around the city shatter and crack.
"Eris, what do we do?!" Jesse yells. Eris turns around and exhales heavily twice.
"We stay calm and get everyone safe," he says, assuredly, still breathing heavily. He turns back around and places his hands on the balcony's rails. "Prepare yourself, Jesse. I'll need you to take over once I'm out of commission," he elaborates.
Eris then raises his hands into the sky, and beams of white magic come out. Once the beams hit the dome's surface, the cracks begin to tether themselves together, fixing the dome.
Once all the cracks disappear, Eris stops, and his white wings appear.
"Jesse, I've spread my magic throughout this entire city. I'll use it to-
BOOM
The cracks in the dome begin to appear again.
"Shit, there's no time," Eris whispers.
A white magic circle appears above him and under him. He raises his left hand and stretches his right hand down.
Eris yells, "White Magic: Absolute Teleportation!"
A powerful wave of wind comes from his body, pushing Jesse through the balcony's doors, into the council room, and the doors slam shut behind him.
White lights flash throughout the city.
He is teleporting everyone, all civilians, even the capital's guards. Within a span of thirteen seconds, Eris teleports over thirty-three million people to Kipo City . Leaving only himself and the council.
He falls from the sky onto the balcony.
"Eris!" Jesse yells before he rushes to him. Eris is unconscious.
Roars echo throughout the capital as Armani continues to bang on the barrier.
Jesse pulls Eris inside the castle after looking up and seeing that the barrier is almost shattered. He uses his wind magic to place Eris on Mike's bed.
Jesse breathes heavily. "No... no way. His plan..., Eris miscalculated," Jesse says to himself, panicking. He suddenly stops breathing heavily and walks to the balcony's door. His jaw drops, and he inhales deeply at the sight of white shards falling from the sky.
"He's through," Jesse whispers fearfully.
In the sky, Armani smiles proudly, breathing heavily.
"Now why would you do that?" a man says.
Armani turns and sees a fairy adorned with burgundy and black wings. It's Melkin.
Melkin shoots a blast of fire at Armani, and Armani covers himself, making an x with his arms. The blast still reaches him and pushes him down.
A blast of water comes out of nowhere and pushes Armani down even harder, making the fire blast evaporate.
Armani crashes down into the streets of Medicris City.
He yells as he struggles to stand up, and suddenly he's pushed back down to the ground. Someone picks him up, grabs onto the back of his cloak, and throws him into a building.
Melkin and Mai land on the stone road,
"Jubi, where is Mallock?" Melkin asks. Jubi scoffs. "Who cares? We can take the slayer," Jubi retorts. Mai groans, "Ugh, that's not the point! We need to find him quickly so-"
"AAAGGHHH!" Armani yells.
Armani punches through ceilings and floors, as he flew up and out of the building he was thrown into.
"AAAGHHHH! YOU WANT ME TO DESTROY SO BADLY?" He bellows.
His bones began to break, and he grows larger. A red aura appears around him as he roars loudly.
He grows
His brown skin transforms into red and orange scales.
In awe, Melkin, Jubi, and Mai witness Armani transform into a giant dragon.
Jubi nods slowly, with a nervous smile. "So, does anyone know where Mallock is?"
~On a floating island northwest of Mediocris City~
"Wow, you see that? The stars are so beautiful tonight," Jivan says.
They're both sitting in the grass, but Mikalae's eyes and attention are glued to a book.
Jivan sighs and lightly closes Mikalae's book.
"Hey, can you talk to me? You seem more off after our fi... after everything," Jivan says worriedly. Mikalae lifts his head with a smile. "Don't worry, I'm fine," he assures. "And you're right, the stars are really beautiful," he says lightly.
Jivan smacks his lips, "You've gotten better...at lying," he whispers.
Mikalae turns away, placing his left hand on his right and lightly scratches it.
"Mikah," Jivan whispers as he grabs Mikalae's face to shift his focus.
"I love you so much, I know you'll be better than fine if you just talk to me. Please, Mikah," Jivan begs
Mikalae slowly removes Jivan's hand from his face. He frowns, "I... I am not fine," he sniffs and shifts his head down.
"Jivan, I"
The wind howls, causing him to stop suddenly.
Jivan's eyes glow pink. He gasps quickly in panic.
"So fast!" He exclaims. He stands up quickly and turns around.
"Lance of Zephyr!" He yells.
Wind begins to swirl around his hand, and a long, giant grey lance of wind appears in his hand.
"Stay behind me!" Jivan yells as the howling wind gets louder. Mike frowns angrily and stands.
Quin rises up, bursting a cloud. He floats over the floating island.
He closes his eyes, "Hmm. It looks like you won't give me the prince's blood willingly," Quin's voice echoes with the wind.
Jivan's green and pink wings appear. "Never," he yells, "you'll have to get through me,"
Quin opens his eyes.
"Okay," he responds.
He inhales deeply and then roars.
His roar creates a strong wind, which forces Jivan and Mikalae to take to the air. Jivan uses his wind magic to go against Quin's wind.
He flies head-on with his spear, and then suddenly, a lance appears in Quin's hand too.
They begin fighting.
~Scarwa Maeidona, (Slave Masters Island), West of Arisheima in the Siurean Ocean
Humans in formation rush down the corridor of the underground base. After the humans turned into another hall, Grayson and Hasan appear.
"Hey, why can I see you?" Hasan questioned. Grayson chuckles, "My bad, I'm still new to this witchcraft thing. But the office with the files isn't far. So... invisibiles sumus," he says, and they turn invisible again.
They walk straight ahead and turn left into another corridor, but stop once they see guards standing in front of a door. The door opens and a woman walks out.
It's Lanai, of the Koroshi.
"Lady Lanai, the guards on lookout haven't reported for shift change. Lady Belinda wants you to check," one of the guards says.
Lanai steps closely, scrunching her eyebrows. "What?" She asks intimidatingly.
"Uh, she asked this of you because everyone else is busy feeding the herd," the guard responds nervously.
Lanai rolls her eyes. "Fine. But don't call me lady... It's General Lanai," she says assertively.
Lanai and the guards walk away from the office, leaving the door open.
After a few moments, the office door slams shut.
Hasan and Grayson appear in the office.
"Okay, Hasan, look at those scrolls over there. I'll get the files," he says seriously.
They both begin to search the room for any important intel.
~Mediocris City, Magicae~
"RAAAAAAGGHHHHHH"
Armani's roars decimate the buildings in the capital. The ground shakes beneath him, and some buildings sink as he roars loudly
Dozens of teal magic circles appear beside Armani, and ropes of water shoot out of them, attempting to tie Armani's dragon form.
"Jubi!" Mai yells, standing on top of rubble. Jubi files down from the cloud, and the ground shakes louder under Armani. The earth rises beside Armani, and two giant hands form, beginning to squish and squeeze Armani.
Melkin struggles, pushing a broken wall off of him. His fiery wings appear, and he flies up to the sky near Jubi.
"Salamander's Pyre!" Melkin yells, and a large array of fire blasts up, burning the giant earth hands and Armani.
"You don't look too good," Jubi says.
Melkin's face is bruised and bloody.
"Where's Mai?" Melkin asks, ignoring Jubi's comment.
"I think she-
The ground shakes, and Armani breaks free from Jubi's spell, and he soars out of Melkin's fiery array.
Armani roars, and then he lands on Mediocris' destroyed streets.
The city's ground shakes loudly, and balls of lava spew from the ground all across the city
One of the balls of lava hits Melkin, burning away his wings and the left side of his body; he falls to the ground.
"Melkin!" Mai yells as she flies quickly towards him, avoiding the lava.
At the castle, Jesse watches Jubi, Mai, and Melkin fight from the balcony. He breathes heavily as he watches the lava spread across the city and destroy everything. The earth shakes, causing some buildings to sink. He panics.
"A-Akibi Barrier!" He yells, hesitantly.
A gray dome with four giant pink palms with an eye in the middle of it appears over the royal castle. It's the barrier of the Vaenol Clan with its crest embedded all around it in pink, representing their mind magic.
Akibi Barrier is very difficult. It is a spell that uses wind magic as a protective layer that can pierce intruders. The barrier has a layer of sound magic that makes everything within the barrier mute to everything outside of it. The mind magic in the crests around the barrier can change how people in a ten-mile radius can view the barrier, so everything inside can be invisible to anyone.
~On the floating Island~
Quin and Jivan continuously clash with their lances of wind.
They get in close contact, and Quin roars, and great wind slams Jivan away. Quin shifts his focus to Mikalae, and he flies to the island, ready to use his lance on Mikalae.
Mikalae holds his hands out and points his middle finger and index finger at Quin like a gun. A force of air, like a bullet, shoots from Mikale's fingertips towards Quin, but Quin quickly maneuvers to the left, yet the bullet grazes him.
Quin stops and floats in the sky.
He gasps, with a shocked, yet fearful expression, eyebrows furrowed and mouth open. "How astonishingly impossible?! Bullets of dark matter mean that you're on a level higher than we thought. You'll be a nuisance in the war, I will take you out n-
"Humbling Gale!" Jivan yells.
A light pink magic circle appears above Quin, and a powerful blast of wind slams him down.
Jivan files quickly over to Mikalae and places his hand on Mike's shoulder.
"You okay? Are you hurt?" Jivan asks quickly and worriedly. Mike steps back, pulling away from Jivan.
"I-I'm fine. I'm not fucking helpless!" Mikalae lashes out.
Jivan's eyes blink in a slight panic.
"No, I- that's not... Mikah I-"
"Look out!" Mikalae yells as he pushes Jivan to the right.
"Ebisu!" He calls out, and a spear suddenly appears before Mikalae, countering Quin's lance of wind.
Still, Quin smiles.
He roars, and a powerful force of wind blasts Mikalae away and off the floating island, giving Mikalae cuts all across his body from Quin's sharp and powerful wind.
"Mikah!" Jivan yells as he rushes towards him.
In front of the Royal castle Arborpha on Ambrose Island, Astellan
A white portal appears in the sky above the castle's gates and Jessica, Aeron, and Ash fall down.
"No! Ugh!" Jessica yells, pacing around. "This cannot be-"
Jessica shuts her mouth as soon as the castle's doors begin to open.
Zoe slides out of a crack in the door, and Ash immediately runs to her.
They hug and Ash picks Zoe up, spinning her around. "I've missed you so much," Zoe says after he puts her down. Ash cups her left cheek, "I've missed you so much more my-
"Take your horny asses to a room, please," Sloan says as she pushes Zoe and Ash, breaking them apart. "My gosh, you two are killing me," Sloan said, annoyedly as she rolled her eyes and continued to walk down the castle's stairs.
She approaches Jessica and hugs her. "Finally someone less annoying," Sloan whispers, cheesing. "Mmm, okay, hey to you too Sloan," Jessica says, pulling away.
"So is everyone here?" Aeron asks.
The three of them begin to walk up the stairs towards the castle doors.
"No. Grayson is still on his mission, which should be over now. And Hasan was supposed to report here to Astellan when Gigantios got attacked, but he hasn't been seen anywhere. With everything going on, I'm worried about them," Sloan says.
They all continue to walk into the castle.
Scarwa Maeidona, In the Siurean Ocean
Hasan and Grayson are still looking around for intel. Hasan opens a scroll and then gasps.
"What the hell? Gray, look at this," He says, walking over to Grayson. Grayson's eyes widen, and his face blows up in shock.
"Shit!" He says before pulling out his phone. Grayson takes a picture of the scroll and then hands the scroll back to Hasan.
"Look, I found something interesting too, something about an alliance called the-"
"SHHH!" Hasan hushes as he tiptoed over to the door. He puts his hand on the door and places his ear close to it. "We have to hurry, someone is coming," he says. Grayson just looks at Hasan, smiling.
"Hey, no time for admiring. Put everything back, she's almost here," Hasan says. Grayson chuckles, "Yeah, right," he says as he begins to quickly put things back to where they were.
Moments after, Grayson finishes and turns around to Hasan.
"So... I actually wanted to talk about us, like what are we after all this time? We haven't gotten a chance to have a serious talk, you know," Grayson questioned with hesitation.
The door begins to unlock from outside the room and Hasan rushes over to Grayson.
"Serious talk time can't happen now. How about after we're miles away from danger?" Hasan asks with his chest pressed onto Grayson's. Grayson smiles in agreement as the door begins to open.
Lanai walks into her office and it's empty. She sniffs loudly as she walks over to her desk. Swaying her head around as she sniffs.
She opens a drawer and grab a set of black metal keys.
Errrrrrrrrg!
Lanai freezes as she hears the door creaks. She turns around and sniffs twice.
"Intruder," she angrily whispers.
She reaches across her desk and slams her hand down on a red button. A loud alarm begins to echo throughout the hidden base.
"Damn it! They know we're here," Grayson exclaims out of breath.
Grayson and Hasan stop at a hallway once they see a group of armored soldiers heading towards them from ahead. They turn around, and another group of guards are coming for them.
"This way!" Hasan yells, pulling Grayson's hand. They run down the left corridor until they reach the end and bust through a giant metal door.
"Fuck, we have to get out of here," Gray says pacing back in forth in the dark room, only lit by a dim blue light on the ceiling.
"So they've done it. They' managed to capture her," he says astounded. He stares into a giant black window that stretches across the small room.
Grayson stops panicking once he hears Hasan. "Hasan, are you okay? You sound different," Gray says smoothly with worry.
"For thousands of years the Great Wyvern wouldn't submit to no mortal. Not even the Primis. But now she does to these slayers?" Hasan says eerie but slightly annoyed
"What're you..." Grayson begins to ask, as he is very confused. But a green portal with gold swirls suddenly appears four feet away from Hasan.
"To your boat we go," Hasan intoned before leaning over to the right and falling down. Grayson hurries and catches him. And as Grayson watches Hasan's eyes close, he sees a gold hue in his right eye.
Grayson shakes his head and carries Hasan through the portal.
On the floating island
"Daevid's Formula!" Mikalae yells out. A Black magic circle appears in front of him and Mikah's fingertips leaks a black aura, and he uses it to draw magic runes in the circle. He levitates and clasps his hand together. The magic circle is then pushed towards Quin as he continues to fight with Jivan using his lance of wind.
Quin breaks away from his fight, dodging Mike's spell.
"Mikah, you need to go! You're just in the way," Jivan yells before he uses his wing to rush over and attack Quin.
Mikalae steps back and blinks uncontrollably with frustration. "In the way? After years, I have the power to be the person I wanted to be, I have the power to help when I can. You Know I can literally destroy him, but your excuse is that I'm in your way?"
Jivan and Quin are distracted by his words but continue to fight. Jivan's fighting expression fades away and his face sits in regret as he listens.
"If anything, you're in my way. Everyone is in my way! Always keeping me in the dark, treating me like I'm some scared guard dog! I'm so fucking sick of it. I just want them to find another way to fucking acknowledge me,"
Quin traps Jivan in a spiraling wind, like that of a tornado. And he flies over to Mikalae with his lance in his hand, ready for the kill.
"I just want.... I just want to be fucking okay!" Mikalae yells out and a black array appears and freezes Quin in his tracks. The array pierces through the floating island and it creates a loud ringing sound.
Mikalae continues to yell out in pain. His wrist and arms begin to twist and break, causing him to scream louder, making his spell placed on Quin more intense.
The spell on Jivan vanishes and he lands on the ground, feeling dizzy. He looks up and sees how much pain Mikalae is in.
"Mikah!" He yells out. He tries to stand but falls back down. Everything is spinning for him. He chooses to use his wings to carry him over to Mikalae.
He lands besides Mikalae and hugs him. "I'm here, Mikah. I'm here," he assures to him. Mikalae still continues to scream out, and his bones break more and more. Jivan then pulls away
"I'm sorry. I told you I'd never do this but..." Jivan places his hands on the sides of Mikah's head. Jivan's eyes then glow pink and Mikalae goes unconscious and falls down into Jivan's arms. The ray of darkness on Quin then disappears and he falls down in pain, breathing heavily.
Jivan quickly flies away with Mikah in his arms, fleeing the battle.
At the Royal Castle, Mediocris City
Jesse looks out of the glass doors of the balcony, viewing the fight. Melkin and Jubi are both out of commission, only Mai stands a chance with her water magic. She uses the spell Double Trouble twice and uses her water dragons to fight off against Armani.
Jesse turns around to check if Eris has awoken. He hasn't.
"Eris, we need you."
Throughout the castle a shadow slithers around corridors where the royal chambers are. The shadow slips through the cracks of a bedroom door and it grows a figure. A woman with a black trench coat and boots appears in the room. She walks over to the bed in the room and stands over the person sleeping. It's Mallock.
The woman extends her hands out and her nails grow into long claws. She punches through Mallocks chest and he wakes up suddenly.
"Mallock Arealis Mediocris," the woman begins. She leans in closer and whispers, "Tell me, did you forget that you're a Prince? Third child of Baron and Elaine, non-heir prince of Magicae?" She asks mischievously. Mallock's face widens in shock and fear. The woman chuckles.
She pulls out her hand and Mallock groans in pain. With her hand, came out his red, beating, bloody heart. She then melts down into a shadow and slithers out of the room.
GASPS
Eris breaths for air as he sits up in Mikalae's bed. He jumps up and runs out of the room.
"Eris!" Jesse calls out, wondering where he's going.
Eris runs down the corridors and approaches Mallocks door. He kicks it open and walks over to Mallock's. He stands over Mallock and shakes his head, holding back tears.
"No... uncle," he says sorrowfully.
"I'm sorry, she took my blood," Mallock coughs. "I've failed you, my... king," he says as he exhales his final breaths. Eris takes a knee and holds Mallock's hand as he cries.
He begins to cry angrily, breathing heavy.
"It's finally time for you to stop hiding," a voice echoes from behind.
Eris sniffles and turns around. He blinks, tears blurring his sight.
It's an apparition of Allock.
"All that anger.. all that power you've been keeping at bay," the apparition walks closer. "It about time you let loose. Show them who you reallyare"
Eris looks at him with anger. He slowly stands and wipes his tears. He walks towards Mallock's balcony, and a breeze of wind bursts the door open.
He walks slowly to the banisters and blue lighting begins to appear around him.
"Cancel," he whispers and the Akibi Barrier breaks.
The lighting begins to lift him, and his eyes glow a blue hue. He sees Armani stepping on Mai and the others are no where to be found.
Eris inhales deeply.
"Begone," he intoned
The wind howls
The ground shakes and thunder roars everywhere
A strike of lighting then beams down on Armani. It continuously blasts him until Armani reverts back to his human form.
The lighting strike disappears.
"Be... GONE!" Eris's voice echoes throughout the city like a force of wind.
He falls back down to the ground breathing heavily.
He looks up and sees Allock walking towards him.
He blinks and looks again.
It's not Allock, It's the supposed spirit of the Sacred Tree.
"All this time pretending to be Allock. I've finally pushed you passed your barrier," he says, approaching Eris.
He squats down and holds up Eris's chin with his index finger. "Tell me, do you know who I am? My true name?" He asks.
"You... you are my-"
SMACK
Suddenly a vine wraps around 'Sacred's' arms. It pulls him away, and drags him back into the castle.
"Wait, I can explain. WAIT!
Eris closes his eyes and passes out.
"Stop this! Stop!
"STAAAAWP!"
