"Do you regret it?"
Cui Xiaofei looked bewildered, his head lowered, unable to answer the principal's inquiry. His mind was filled with memories of leaving the martial arts school with them, pursuing the power to survive in the apocalypse.
He obtained the power, but the cost was not what he wanted.
"I might really regret it," Cui Xiaofei said softly. He came to the Sunshine Shelter just to see the principal, someone he had always respected deeply.
"Sigh."
Duan Chenghu sighed. Some things, once you take that step, are really hard to turn back from.
He knew Xiaofei had his own ideas.
And his own choices.
"Xiaofei, is there something you need to do?" Duan Chenghu was sure that Xiaofei came here to find him for a reason. This feeling was strong, lingering in his heart.
"There's nothing I need to do."
Cui Xiaofei shook his head, "I just came to see you, Principal, nothing else."
