Edna hadn't had time to turn around when the valley erupted with a thunderous noise, and the place where the small stream flowed suddenly turned into flowing magma.
Perhaps because all the loved ones were around... Even as a catastrophic explosion struck, the nearby unchanging ice mountain suddenly transformed into a volcano erupting with black flames thousands of meters high... Yet Edna still calmly shouted, "Grab the branches of the Vanda Tree! Leonard, quickly animate this tree and have it bind everyone!"
Leonard swiftly cast a spell; luckily, his Over-magic Specialty is spell quickening. Although not every spell can be paired with this specialty, animating plants, a basic spell for Nature Mages, was certainly feasible.
He even used the last few seconds to cast the Feather Fall Technique on the towering tree binding everyone, just as they plummeted into the ground along with the sinking earth.
