She was likely planning to leave this town to Edna, rather than Mystra.
But she clearly did not intend to inherit the name of Midnight... Besides, Midnight did not have a sanctuary of her own; those Mystra sanctuaries in places like Harua came from Black Eye, didn't they?
In terms of something that truly belonged to Midnight, there was only a small monastery, built by Aiden, a former comrade who was doing good deeds in a chaotic land; he alone sincerely worshipped Midnight Mistrala.
Unfortunately, that was the friendship of past comrades. Even though Aiden was Midnight's first priest, the differences between this small sanctuary and a true Mystra sanctuary were evident.
Edna probably wanted to cut ties with the past... She was willing to inherit the name Mystra, but she likely intended to leave those chaotic subordinates aside for now.
