Mystree's biggest problem was being too rational... A normal deity would deal with threats at the first sight, rather than waiting for the outcome like she did.
Moreover... a world like Toril doesn't need a Goddess of Magic to sacrifice herself.
Being able to weigh gains and losses with her own life on the scales is a bit too rational.
But, the latter two have emotions that are too rich.
