"The composition is broad and detailed, the brushwork is delicate, blending the techniques of Northern Song artists Li Cheng and Guo Xi, and Southern Song artists Li Tang and Liu Songnian. The mountains and rocks are depicted with small axe-cut strokes, and the figures are drawn with fine lines and light colors, offering a fresh perspective."
The exhibition at the South Lake Park Art Gallery showcases a contemporary artist's imitation of ancient landscape and figure paintings. Ning Youguang noticed that several students in her class had made insightful comments, which sparked her interest, and she followed up with a few remarks.
After she gave her evaluation, the eyes of a tall and refined-looking boy in her class lit up with surprise.
"Do you mean this artist is imitating the works of the Ming dynasty artist Zhou Chen?"
"Correct."
