Reaching into his chest, he pulled out a porcelain bottle. He poured out a few dull grey elixir pills and crouched down to stuff them into Four's mouth.
Then, without caring whether Four lived or died, he rose and walked over to Zhen Wu's side.
"Why did the little creature stay inside his body for so long? Could it be that this guy's blood tastes especially good?" she asked.
Logically speaking, the many-banded krait should have gone in through the ear and out through the nose in no time. But the little creature took its sweet time.
At her words, Zhen Wu glanced at Four, who lay on the ground like a dead fish, and gave a disdainful snort.
"Maybe it wandered around in his stomach for a while," he replied.
"Hiss!"
Three sharp intakes of breath sounded immediately.
Two came from First and Second, while the other was from the shopkeeper, who had not yet left.
