Without worrying whether interrupting them would be impolite, I softly suggested, "It's getting late, shall we have dinner?"
"Oh, Jane is right, Theodore, let's go, let's have dinner in the dining room and chat slowly," Wilkes helped his wife up and invited Theodore White for dinner.
The three elders chatted and laughed all the way, Wilkes also asked Theodore White as they walked: "What do you think, when should our two families arrange to meet up?"
"Sure, no problem..." Theodore White looked at Jane walking with her head down beside him, smiled, and said, "But the military seems to be planning exercises recently, right? Jane!?"
