"What are you planning to do? Open a store back in Zoey's town?"
Bryan White joked as he crossed one arm over his chest and rested the other on the sofa, glancing at the shopping bags around the couch.
He estimated there were about sixty or seventy bags, big and small, with jewelry, clothes, and cosmetics inside.
It seemed some of the items were of no practical use, confirming that women indeed shop irrationally.
"How do you know all these are mine? Couldn't Meier have bought them?" Emma Benson glanced at the man, a smile playing on her lips.
"Because Meier doesn't like these little trinkets..." Bryan White pointed at some of the small accessories in the shopping bags, raising his handsome eyebrows.
"Hmm..." Emma Benson laughed, lowering her head to pack the items neatly into bags.
Walter Schmidt looked around, his eyes smiling. Emma rarely shopped; most of her clothes were prepared by the housekeeper. She wasn't picky and relied on the styling team at the marshal's residence.
