When Frederick stepped out halfway to wash his hands, Jk pulled him into the hall.
The other waitstaff gathered around, seemingly wanting to hear some gossip.
"I mean, bringing such an important figure without giving a heads-up? I haven't prepared anything, how impolite!" Jk was anxious, his face tense.
"Didn't I text you? Didn't you receive it?" Frederick smiled leisurely, appearing relaxed.
"What's the point of a ten-minute notice?..." Jk glared at him, glanced at the private room's door, and said in a hushed voice, "Luckily, I saw the message as soon as I received it. If I had seen it any later, the shop would be full of guests, and that would cause quite a commotion!"
When he received the text, there weren't many guests in the shop, so he said there was a matter at home and had to close the shop, politely asking the guests to leave without charging them a cent.
