Puchi! A young figure who wore a jacket to cover up his bare chest and tight jeans squatted down and stabbed his fingers into the head of an infected, he pulled out his hand retrieving a black core as he smiled in delight, if you looked to his right, you would see a black-haired female wearing what seemed to be a male's shirt and jeans standing by his side.
This young man was Alex, whom immediately tossed the core to Alice, who closed her eyes in disgust before slowly lowering it into her mouth and swallowing it. They found out in order to evolve their cores, they needed to consume the cores. Alex had decided to keep killing the 'infected' as they had been doing for almost three whole days after 'that' incident. The infected, were those who were unable to adapt to the introduction of mana.
When they were scavenging around the area on the second day, they stumbled upon a normal scavenger and got updated on the situation outside. It seems the government had found out about some 'bases' that appeared after the game begun, and it seemed to be owned by foreign races. Apparently, the game was considerate enough to create 'Safe zones'.
The government still held itself together by a thread, and it seemed other countries and continents were having a far better time than that of Japan. The U.S have already created a man made safe zone, which was a piece of land that resided in the air. The US was hiding some technology. U.K had an outstanding number of safe zones, which drastically reduced death rates.
China had quite the predicament, because their monsters got stronger the more they killed. China's population dropped from a rough estimate of four billion to that of slightly over two billion, and still counting.
Africa had been completely wiped out, a continent of almost over four billion. Currently, the duo has already found out all the information about the game they need to know.
"Alex, I see the station!" The duo quickly ran to their destination before they quickly entered to scavenge for weapons.
Alex looked for guns of any kind while Alice looked for any melee weapons, but to their disappointment, the station had been raided clean. "We were too late, the station is as good as useless, whoever raided here wiped the place clean, they even took the armored cars and the police uniforms." Alice gave a summary of her search to Alex while Alex had the same result.
Sighing, the duo slowly started walking to the entrance when a blue blur suddenly passed by. Alex immediately cast one of the skills he got a day ago called [Wind Cutter Lv 2], but the blue blur quickly changed trajectory and dodged it. Alice looked at the zooming blur for a second before the gear symbol on her arm began to turn clockwise, "Alex,, I need some help"
Alex seriously followed the law of kill before you get killed and summoned multiple icicles whilst freezing the ground. The blur suddenly became clear as it slipped on the ice and immediately fell down, Alice on the other hand had finished activating her ability, and she instantly appeared by the figure's side.
"W-Wait! Don't kill me! I'm not a bad guy!!!" Instantly, the ice spike and the fist pointing towards his neck and face stopped as Alex's cold voice sounded through the boy's ear, "Who are you? Where did you come from?"
The boy quickly sat up and spoke in a rushed tone, "I-I'm Wally, I came from Safe Zone E213 to get weapons from the sta-station and send them back to my squad."
The duo sighed as they both released their attacks and quickly recharged their mana with a core. "Alex, let's go, maybe we can find a few weapons in those dojo's, not like our luck was any better finding weapons in houses." Alice walked out of the station with Alex, leaving Wally who was expecting them to ask for the safe zone location speechless.
A gust of wind passed by Alex as he saw a blue blur speeding away.

A group of people chatted away as they waited for a someone's arrival, but suddenly a gust of wind passed by as a boy who wasn't there suddenly appeared. The group stopped talking as they turned their attention towards the boy.
"Wally, took you long enough! Where are the weapons?" A red-haired girl who seemed to be the leader of the group questioned Wally who appeared empty handed, Wally fidgeted in his position as he stuttered, "T-There weren't any weapons in the station, s-some people already took them all"
"Tch, did you see those people?" "Y-yes, b-but they seemed strong…" The girl clicked her teeth and begun walking towards where Wally had come from, by the time the others realized, she was just a dot in their sight.
Suddenly, the girl shouted, "Get your ass over here!" The whole group, Wally included ran towards her.

Alex walked out of a traditional Japanese house which seemed to be a dojo. He walked out with a bag bursting with clothes and three katanas.
"We can manage with these for now, let's head towards a Safe zone tomorrow" Alice nodded her head in response to his suggestion and took one katana.

Alice inspected the blade before swinging it, nodding her head in affirmation once again, she caught up to Alex who had already walked quite a distance away.

"Make sure you hit the guy first, he seems to be the most dangerous" The girl and her gang watched Alex and Alice from a rooftop as a lean man targeted his mounted sniper towards Alex. Wally stood in a corner, not wanting to be in any part of it.
Bang!! The bullet whizzed through the air, aiming for Alex's head, Wally covered his eyes.
Ping! The sound of a bullet hitting something hard resounded in the area, if one looked closely, you would see a bullet stuck between a wall of earth. The girl's face scrunched up in annoyance and she jumped down.

Alex stared at the girl who's figure instantly disappeared when she was three feet above the ground.
Alice picked up multiple pebbles from the ground, and when she threw them down, summoning purple giants who awaited their masters order. "Protect us at all costs." The duo stood behind each other, waiting for any surprise attacks.

"Shit! She has a gun!" Alice looked at the place where the bullet came from but strangely enough, she wasn't there.
Suddenly, the giants gathered up like a wall, as if covering them from something, that same second, an object hit the body of one of the golems, the golems tried to smash it under their feet, but then a bright flash covered the duo's vision, preventing them from seeing anything. Alex held his face in pain when suddenly, a magic circle containing an omega sign appeared before him, before it shrank and imprinted himself in his eyes.
At that moment, the girl, who had engaged Alice had a strange look on her face as she immediately started retreating. Alice had a frustrated expression looking at the girl who was able to parry all her tentacles with knives. Every time a knife broke, another one would appear, and with the girl moving like a cat, she hadn't even been grazed once.
A dark energy manifested around Alex as a giant eyeball with a golden omega symbol quickly manifested, hovering silently in the air.
Suddenly, the eye turned its sight towards an empty patch of ground, immediately after, the figure of the retreating girl could be seen where it looked. Alice snapped out of the trance she had been in from inspecting the eye, and quickly began another fierce exchange between the two.
Alex ignored whatever was happening around him and looked at his body which continuously twitched.
Alex slowly raised his head to look at the floating eye, which in response, the eye also looked back.

Suddenly, a voice that sounded quite familiar to Alex echoed in his head, he turned from the fight looking for whoever was speaking.
'Don't bother looking for me, I'm not anywhere near that place. The system is already in effect so I won't be able to talk much long, don-'

A sound of what seemed like chains hitting themselves and restricting something were heard, but after that, the voice completely disappeared…
'What's going on?' Alex questioned himself, but knowing now wasn't the time to reflect on himself, he charged his mana before he dashed towards the fight.

1ST PERSON[ALICE POV]
My mana rapidly drained as I looked at the girl and recharged my mana in frustration, how could she defend herself so expertly, it's like she already has a lot of experience, just like the hood guy's gang!'
I turned my body to the left and used the flat edge of my katana to deflect the blade, successfully evading the fifth knife she threw at me. 'Judging by her face, it seems she's getting frustrated too, maybe I can use that against her.' Noticing at the corner of my eye that Alex was fast approaching, I smirked in victory, unfortunately, this did not go unnoticed by the girl, who suddenly took a stance and… jumped.

But this wasn't a small jump, oh no no, she sent herself a frigging twenty feet in the air! If the duo wanted to do that, they would have to use a skill of some sort. The weirdest thing was, after she jumped, she quickly waved her hand in the air, and sure enough, she didn't fall after that, she slowly walked in the air smiling mischievously. Alex squinted his eyes which had changed, drastically improving his vision.
Wires… "Alice, be careful! She's standing on wires, she probably wants us to try getting near her, then she can restrict us and kill us."
The female overhearing this smiled before waving her hand, which caused a series of wrapped wires to appear around each of her fingers.
She pulled her hand back while performing complicated signs with each hand, and with the sound of wires stretching, a flush of wind-like sounds was heard as the thin lines of wires would flash around wildly. The sound of her wires moving and cutting through the tiled road sounded repeatedly along a couple of clangs sounded once in a while when a wire met with Alice's tentacles.

"Sooo… should we help her?" The skinny man threw a question towards the rest of the group. "If you want her to tear your head off after, be my guest, after all, we know she doesn't like getting help once she begins fighting." A girl who silently watched the fight answered his question without turning.
Wally watched with an anxious expression, hoping for the two people to escape, and the rest of the group sat on the ground playing UNO…

Alex teleported with [Shadow Transmission], and slashed at her neck, his muscles pumped in adrenaline, but the female bent her back, evading the katana, and using her hands as support on the ground, she performed a handstand. One of her rising legs kicked his chin, and then she immediately jumped with her hands, dodging one of Alice's tentacles which instead hit Alex, fortunately Alice held the power back at the last second or else... Alex held his chin in pain. 'She seems even stronger than the other pioneers we met, and looking at her face, she's starting to enjoy this! Alex closed his eyes, trying to quickly think of a plan, when suddenly, he felt something enter his body.
Opening his eyes, he saw nothing except the girl's approaching figure, but when he tried focusing, he finally saw something, particles… particles in the air, some red, others blue, and many other colors.
Alex tried using a skill, and strangely, the particles gathered together…
Bam!
"Tsk, tsk! Don't get distracted in the middle of a battle" The girl jumped onto his shoulders, pointing another knife at him, she tried stabbing when a tentacle appeared, breaking the knife completely. "Take your guns out and fight me seriously!" Alice listened to the girl before looking at her like an idiot, "If we had guns don't you think we would've used them!?" The girl kept evading the duo's assault, but nevertheless, she had a baffled look on her face.
"What do you mean, don't you have guns!?" Alex who ignored the whole conversation focused on gathering as many of those particles as possible when his body suddenly begun to heat up.

The girl seeing the small bluish streams coming from his body suddenly started wrapping herself in wires, quickly forming a cocoon, Alice who saw this thought, 'What's happening this time!?'
She copied the girl and wrapped herself in her tentacles.

"Guys, take cover!!" The girl who sat on the edge of the roof suddenly threw a crest of a black shield on the ground, the crest instantly turned into a menacing black shield, hovering silently while covering the girl.
Boom!!
A giant shockwave with its center as Alex moved and swept everything in its way, destroying a part of the surrounding terrain...
"What. The. Fuck?" The girl uncovered herself from her cocoon and which barely protected her and looked at the damaged Alex caused. "How did a G- ranker do this?" The girl stared at Alex in awe while also wondering, 'He shouldn't even be alive, the mana overload should have swelled him and burst him like a balloon… And it seems they don't have any guns too… Hmm… If I bring them with me, the academy may award me with points…'
All her thoughts happened in less than a second as she quickly thought of a conclusion,
'Bring the People Home Equals Free cores'
"Alright, I concede. I'll send you guys to my safe zone because I came here to test you".
'Worst excuse ever!'
Alex got up without caring about his nudeness while he questioned the girl in a confused tone. "So, you're telling me… Trying to kill us was a test?" "Yes. Turn around"
"And shooting me with a bullet was also part of the test?" "…Yes" "So trying to kill me was also part of the test" "…Uh…Yes?" "What about when-"
"Talk again and I will end you now" The girl pulled out a glock and pointed it at Alexwho suddenly felt a large amount of killing intent and ran towards Alice who saw his birthday suit. She quickly covered her eyes as bloodlust emitted from her body.

"Oi oi! What's wrong with the guy, he didn't give a damn about his birthday suit!" The girl who had protected the whole group muttered a few unheard words, but she still made sure to imprint the scene in her mind.
Wally had a pitying look on his face as he stared at Alex who was being attacked by both females.
This would forever remain a scene that would be remembered by all witnesses for the rest of their lives and when they remember, it will bring back memories of the good old days... before the great catastrophe begins…

HELL'S ENTRANCE
