Chapter 2 - 01: Great Fire Of Hunts Point

I hated blood, maybe even scared of it. The color, the smell, the taste, everything about that dam liquid that ran through ours vain.

But at the moment, with red sheens in my eyes and a metallic taste in my mouth, I squeezed out my laugh like a maniac. Enjoying everything about it.

When I thought about it, wasn't it a kind of irony? This scene looked almost like the night when everything changed. The night that made me hate blood.

I couldn't believe that one day, the same kind of incident would cure me of my phobia.

Maybe this was the reverse psychology or something like exposure therapy shit that the social worker at the shelter kept talking about? I really didn't know. I never paid enough attention to what she said.

The scream from his mouth was also nice. I liked to make someone else scream for a change.

"You, bitch!" that man who now had blood gushing out of his eye said while trying to jump away from me, and this time, even though his voice was still full of anger, it also had a little bit of fear in it.

But I wasn't going to let him go. I might didn't know how this night will end, yet, I would make sure he will not be seeing anything tomorrow, one way or another.

So with the key in one hand, another hand grabbed on the gold chain around his neck, pulling him back to me.

And I also didn't miss the second, the third and so on time. The key always landed where I wanted.

Fulled of what I thought was adrenalin, I kept on going. I didn't know how many times I had stabbed him in the eyes, I only stopped when I felt his full weight on me.

[You have killed the rapist]

[You have received Succubus System]

[Installing the system -

'Whatever subconscious, do whatever you want. I am out ' I said to myself with a smile before closing my eyes, ready for the peace I was promised to.

But it never came.

I should have known. The priest who used my service obviously was not trustworthy.

Instead of entering the place of internal peace, I was swallowed by the flame of hell.

And I meant it literally.

It started from my blood and soon after, everything burned.

You might had heard about it. The fire incident had killed over 12,000 souls. Every adult, every kid, and every living thing in Hunts Point was killed by it.

It became the worst City fire in New York and world history.

No one knew how the fire started. The whole neighborhood burned to the ground overnight and even the satellites saw nothing.  It was just there and then it wasn't.

Of course, there were a lot of fingers pointing action, some conspiracy theorists said it was an attack from Russia, and some activities said it was caused by a low-maintenance gas line due to corruption, but since the fire swallowed everything and everyone, leaving no evidence, the higher-up just blamed it on some gang fight gone wrong.

They were all wrong.

They didn't know that it was me and I survived. The one responsible for it survived.
