Lucy Ansley looked at Henry Ronan with his graceful demeanor and eyes full of concern, feeling a warmth in her heart as she softly said, "I just took my medicine, I'm fine now."
By this time, Skye Jade had discreetly left the living room.
Henry sat down slowly, his deep voice tinged with a lecturing tone, "You're an adult, how come you still don't know how to take care of yourself?"
Lucy touched the knuckles of her left hand with her right, lowering her eyes in a subdued mood, "I'll be more careful in the future."
Even though she said no more, Henry still saw the underlying self-blame and regret in her.
The contours of Henry's face softened a bit, and a faint smile appeared in his eyes, "I'm not blaming you, being sick hurts no one but yourself. Being careful usually is better than suffering."
Lucy nodded despondently, her spirits still very low.
She detested being sick, yet often felt powerless to do anything about it.
