Chapter 70 - Chapter 60: Partiality

On the other end of the phone, Henry Ronan seemed busy with something, the silence dragged on for a while.

So long that Lucy Ansley thought the signal was poor, she said 'hello' a few more times.

The man's warm, magnetic voice was no different than usual, "Where have you been, no signal?"

Lucy Ansley touched the damp tips of her hair, "Benham Hill is a bit remote, so the signal is poor."

"Have you come down the hill now?"

The man didn't ask much, offering respect and understanding, seemingly more concerned about her current whereabouts.

Lucy Ansley glanced at the road sign through the bus window, "I'm almost at the Coking District."

Henry Ronan softly exhaled some smoke and gently instructed, "Send your exact location to Thomas Chapman, he'll pick you up."

"No need, I'll just transfer to the subway."

The man paused for two seconds, patiently coaxing, "Send it, it's dark and your journey is far, it's not safe for a girl to be out alone."
