Eva Ronan seemed to have a good impression of Lucy Ansley.
After exchanging a few pleasantries, when Eva turned to leave, she lightly patted Henry Ronan's shoulder, "Good eye."
The voice was just the right volume for Lucy Ansley to hear clearly.
Henry's furrowed brow relaxed, and he gently placed his hand around Lucy's shoulder, softly reassuring her, "No outsiders tonight, no need to be too restrained."
Lucy Ansley responded softly, instinctively leaning towards the man's embrace.
Originally, she disliked being in close contact with others due to her heart condition, but Dr. Ronan's protectiveness and thoughtfulness made her instinctively want to get closer.
The man, always perceptive, naturally didn't miss Lucy Ansley's intentional movement toward him.
His thin lips curved into a contented smile, his forearm lowering as he gently placed it by her shoulder blade, thoughtfully and unassumingly guiding her into the crowd.
"Little Lucy, I thought you weren't coming tonight."
