The dinner hadn't started yet, and some friends gathered to chat and pass the time.

Henry Ronan occasionally joined the conversation, but most of his attention was on Lucy Ansley.

Soon, Justin Yates came over and said, "Ninth Brother, stop staring. She's right in front of you; she's not going to run away, is she?"

The man sipped his champagne from the table, "On purpose?"

Justin was taken aback for a moment, but quickly caught onto the hidden meaning of the words.

His smile brightened as he fiddled with his well-maintained fingers, teasing, "The circle is so small, everyone will know each other sooner or later. Besides, it's a coincidence today—Wendy Wayne just finished her piano lesson with me, and when she heard about the gathering, she decided to tag along."

Henry gave him a deep glance, saying nothing, but his pursed lips still showed displeasure.

"Ninth Brother, we're all friends. Do you dislike Wendy that much?"
