Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Yesterday afternoon

They had decided that this was going to be the last and at the same time they both said.

'"Pancakes."' It seemed that, that was the only thing they had both agreed upon.

One headed to the cupboards while the other to the fridge.

Yesterday afternoon, she had found out that the electrical devices worked in the house.

The Freezer, TV along with other household appliances.

It seemed as though it hadn't been long since the end of the world since everything worked normally.

She snapped out of a daze as they continued putting the ingredients on the table.

They didn't have eggs which were mainly used for the pancakes so they decided to modify it the western way.

Grabbing a bowl Lora took out canned ham and a packaged dried bacon.

She cut them into small pieces and mixed them together along with ground onion.

There was no cheese so that was not included in the dish.

Instead she added leftover dried beans from yesterday into the mixture.

Meanwhile the man was seriously beating the flour mixed with water, along with 4 tea spoons of sugar until it became a smooth and stretchy texture.

They had decided to make the pancakes slightly sweet.

They had both finished at the same time so they directly combined it together.

Lora turned on the pan to the lowest heat and added a quarter cup of olive oil.

She took the pancake mixture into her hands before setting the heat back midway.

She poured some of the batter into the pan as the man took over and supervised it.

She went to go get a plate and placed it to the side for him to lay the pancakes on as she then turned on the pot to boil the rice she had rinsed off before.

Earlier, she had separated some of the ingredients from the pancakes.

Lora had deliberately made a large amount for both of the dishes.

The bacon was only used for the pancakes though.

She continued adding in scallions and sesame seed oil into the mixture.

When the rice was almost done, she poured them in and stirred until it was completely cooked.

The man was done on his side before her so he prepared the dough for the dough sticks.

Pouring oil into the cleaned pan he found a clean plastic.

The man cut an odd shaped hole and did his dough stick making magic.

She was amazed when she saw how skillful his hands were.

Lora gulped slightly as the pang of hunger that was looming in secret hit her.

She then joined him in the making after she set up the table with their newly made food.

They were done as he sat down to wait for her.

She quickly made two cups of hot milk and the meal began after she sat down.

When they explored the mansion earlier, they had found a box of canned milk, deodorant, new tooth brushes and tooth paste, an extra size bag, a few sharp foldable Knives and an empty gun.

It was a handgun she noted as she looked at it, that probably was the first time she ever touched and saw a gun before her eyes.

She had also found pads and looked at them like they were treasures.

They finished breakfast as they planned to wash the dishes in the afternoon.

It was still early as she was bored in the house, there was nothing to do as it was not even eleven yet.
