"...am…hey…Sam!"
Hearing his name echoing in the darkness, the boy came to and opened his eyes.
"Jeez, you shouldn't sleep here! You'll get sick!"
Looking up he saw a little girl no older than twelve. Her pure white hair was so long it almost touched the ground. Her eyes were crimson, the color of blood, twinkled with innocence and liveliness. The strange combination gave her an uncanny beauty, one that was very difficult to ignore.
"Ali…ce?" The boy muttered with a hoarse voice. His throat was dry making a glass of water the thing he desired the most right now.
"Yes, the one and only." The girl said with a proud smile. "Anyways, get up already! Your parents will get angry again!"
Listening absentmindedly, the boy looked around him trying to get a sense of his surroundings. He was in a garden covered in bushes and grass with trees surrounding the area like a fence. On his lap was a thick book so his guess was that he had fallen asleep while reading under a tree's shade.
