They arrived at the mansion with Williams, Maria, Kyle, Estella, old Charles and some other maids waiting outside for them
Madam Esther stepped out of the car and headed towards her son, she had missed him so much too
"Mother" Williams and Maria echoed
"How are you doing my son?" she pulled Williams into a hug
"I'm fine Mom and how are you?" Williams asked
"I'm doing good just some old age health challenges which are very normal" Madam Esther
"don't worry I will have the family doctor come check you up tomorrow," Williams said pulling out of his mother's embrace
Seeing that Madam Esther paid no attention to her, Maria decided to try again, she knew she didn't like her and the feeling was quite mutual
"Mother how are you?" she asked
"I'm doing well" Madam Esther said with a straight face, she never liked Maria at all but she just had to succumb to the decision of allowing her son to marry her because she was pregnant for him back then, and they couldn't stand for their family name and reputation to be dragged in the mud
even though she now regrets it very much, she had sacrificed her son's happiness, they had forced him to marry this gold digger knowing fully well he never loved her
Madam Esther heaved a deep sigh,
she was in deep sorrow, her only compensation was her grandchildren, at least something good came out of the gold digger and at the thought of children Madam Esther remembered little Chris
"Son?" she called out
"yes Mother" he answered
"This little boy here is whose child? Christopher denies that he's not the father" Madam Esther said
"of course, he's not" Maria flared up
"I wasn't talking to you" Madam Esther said without looking at him and she quickly kept quiet, she didn't want to keep being embarrassed in front of everyone
"no Mother, he's Jane's son and Jane is your grandson's maid" Williams confirmed what Grace said
Madam Esther was stunned as if she was just hearing the statement for the first time
"But how come the boy looks like him?" she interjected
As soon as she said it everyone's gaze fell on little Chris and as if a veil just fallen off their faces, they all realized that what the old woman said was absolutely true
Little Chris does look like Christopher, they have the same face and nose structure down to their lips, the only difference is their hair and eye colour
Even Jane was stunned at this discovery, ' she just really hopes it's not what she's thinking '
" come on grandma, haven't you heard of doppelganger before" Grace cut in and everyone raised a brow
"It's a case where two people look exactly like each other when they are not even related, I'm sure that's the case here, Jane just started working for my brother just one month ago and they've never met before then, right Jane?" she asked facing Jane
"yes that's right ma'am" Jane who had said nothing for long replied even though she was having doubts right now, but she tried not to think too much of it, what Grace said must be the case here, there's no way he could have been Chris's father
"hmmm" Madam Esther said nothing, she was still not convinced but since they insisted there were nothing she could do about it still she liked the boy anyways
"come here little one" Madam Esther said
little Chris was hesitant "Come on Chris go and meet grandma" Christopher urged him and he went
"How are you kiddo?" she asked
"I'm doing well ma'am" he answered
"oh what a very adorable and respectful boy, just call me grandma okay?" she said
"Okay Grandma" Chris said with all the smiles on him
"I guess you have won the heart of everyone here little Chris," Williams said smiling too and soon everyone was infected with the smile except for Maria who was cursing under her breath
"come on Mother let's go inside," Williams said
"All alright" she said and walked in and every other person followed
"hello father are we ready for tonight?" Angel asked her father sitting across from him in their mansion across the city
"of course, the Smith's Empire must be mine, I've waited for so long for this, even though you my child almost screwed everything up but we have a solution," Jonas said in a very manipulative tone
"thank God I have a genius as a father, we will make them all pay for the humiliation they caused me years ago, you will get the Smith corporation and I finally get to be with Carlos," Angel said wrapping her hair around her finger
"that's correct, all in due time too bad that fool Williams still trusts me and tells me everything, I will be his downfall" Jonas laughed
"Irene bring that wench here" Angel commanded
Soon a middle-aged woman came in with a five-year-old girl, she had very long black hair, and she was a very cute and chubby girl, she was a perfect description of a little Angel
Irene came in with the girl and left immediately
"come here" Angel commanded
the little girl walked up to her fearfully, she had always been scared of her
"you my darling daughter will be my saving grace, our saving grace, and you must not screw this up okay or else I will kill you, you hear me" Angel threatened her
the girl flinched and started to cry
"oh there she goes again, crying like an idiot, so annoying," Angel said irritated
"leave the girl alone, Angel, she can't even talk she won't be causing us any problems," Jonas said
"she better not" she sneered
"you should focus on looking beautiful this night if that idiot can fall for you before, he can do it again, you must make sure you seduce him," Jonas said and stormed out of the room
