I've reincarnated. Quite shocking as I've never heard of something like this happened.
It took me a few minutes to calm my mind from the shock. As an experienced hero who must have a calm mind to survive the hellish world, it's a breeze to do that.
When I regained my sense of light earlier and great amount of light clouded my vision, I involuntarily closed my eyes. I was able to adjust after a while and finally saw 3 large silhouettes near me. 2 women and 1 man.
'Are they giants? what the hell' was what I thought. I analyzed each individual and it made me confused as all of them are looking in my direction with a different set of emotions.
Shock. Joy. Confusion. Nervousness. Astonishment. Pleased.
Wait...they looked like normal humans? My attention quickly changed as I looked at their features. Facial structures and features that resembled a human perfectly. Body build that perfectly looked human.
'They don't look like giants, hmm then why...are they huge? Wait...wait this means that I am s-small..!??' I only realized that I haven't checked the body that I reincarnated into as I quickly looked at my arms.
My arms looked short and my hands felt soft as I touched my palm and pairs of fingers.
'What the hell, this is a body that belongs to a bab-' I was interrupted when I came to the conclusion that I am a baby.
"*Oh dear!! He's alive!!*" One of the women said. I wasn't able to finish my sentence but I didn't care as something caught my attention. The language that she's speaking, I can't understand it. I also haven't heard of a language that sounds like this. Hmm, weird.
(Note: I'll put "*" to every before dialogue to signify that the protagonist has not yet understood the words that have been spoken.)
The woman that just spoke looked like someone that is very experienced. She looked kind of old as hundreds of strands of her hair became gray. Her eyes looked haggard at the moment and her nose was sharp. Nothing special could be noticed from her facial features as she looked like any other elderly. If there's one thing that makes her special, it is something the eye could not see, it is the aura that she had.
I could somehow feel something coming out from her. I couldn't describe it at the moment. Maybe it's just a hallucination as I saw her as an experienced elder. But I'll take note of this.
"huff, huff...*yes..! Thank you so much, Victoria. My child survived because of you*..." The other woman said. Her red hair which kind of looks like a flame was messy, her black deep eyes that kind of feel like you're looking at the void were shaking, and her perfectly shaped jawline and slender neck made her extremely attractive.
Her body was currently covered by wet sheets. She looked like someone that just experienced a tough battle as she heaved up and down quite heavily and her face and her neck were covered in sweats as it made her more seductive.
"*Yeah!! I'm glad that you were here, Victoria. If not for you, then who knows what would have happened to my wife and my child...just the thought made me...ugh forget it*"
The man that sat beside the woman with fiery red hair said. The man embraced and supported the woman with his arm while giving her water to relieve her tiredness.
The man looked quite manly and handsome if you looked at him. His dark gold hair and deep red eyes made him more attractive and eye catching. His sharp jawline made his facial features attractive and his nose were sharp. The man's body looked muscular and his well toned muscles added to his charm.
'I don't understand what they are talking about' I said inwardly. Their language are just not it. I haven't heard it in my 28 yrs of living.
The elderly woman smiled at them and spoke.
"*No, it's fine. It's Thalia's willpower that made this miracle possible. All I did was support her with my magic. Now, now, let me help you a bit to help you relax.*" The elderly woman said and her hands move. Her fingers looked like its dancing in a weird manner and then something strange happened to the woman with fiery red hair.
"*Support Magic, Heal!*" The elderly woman shouted and her finger finally took a stop.
'Hmmm??' It caught my whole attention.
The woman with fiery red hair closed her eyes as if she were focusing on something deep within her body and when she opened her eyes again, she smiled.
"*Thank you Victoria, I feel a whole lot better.*" The red-haired woman said as she let out a huge amount of air and her facial expression relaxed.
The man with dark gold hair finally relaxed his arms and finally let go of the woman from his embrace.
"*Thank you too, Felix. For supporting Victoria and staying by my side for several hours without complaint.*" The woman with red hair said.
"*Nah it's fine, it is the least I could do to reduce the stress that you have experienced. Now, why don't we look at our child, shall we? He's staring at us. He's not crying, is that fine, Victoria?*" The man spoke in a language that I couldn't understand. But I can say that he's worried and was asking a question based on his tone and as he looked at the elder.
'Hmmm, why is he looking at me with that worried eyes?' I said inwardly.
The elderly woman then looked at me and spoke, even though I couldn't understand it I could tell that what she said is somehow related to me.
"*Yeah, it's fine, no worries. Even though it's kind of weird, it is not rare. I also made sure that there was nothing unusual within the baby's frail body using my magic*"
Relief washed over the face of both the man with dark gold hair and the woman with fiery red hair after listening to the elder's words.
"*Now, it seems like we're good to go and rest now, right? You should rest your body as it suffered birth trauma and relax your mind. My support magic earlier should have helped you a bit, all you need to do was to rest for several days and constantly eat enough food. Avoid doing any physical chores during the next week, understood? Felix should be able to do it so you shouldn't be worried about it.*"
"*Yes yes, I know already. You may go now, you're tired too from supporting me for several hours. Thanks a bunch, Victoria.*"
"*Alright, alright I'll leave you guys alone. Also, don't forget to name this little boy. I'll go now, have a rest.*" The elder spoke and left through the door of the corner of the room.
'Uhh...I don't understand what they talked about but I guess it's related to me.'
The man with dark gold hair then looked at my direction and spoke.
"*Thalia, what should we name our boy here?*"
"*Hmm, do you have any idea in mind? Something simple and easily remember, if possible. And sounds pretty nice too.*" The woman said as she smiled in my direction.
"*Hmm, I'm not really good at naming, but I do have one in mind, I don't if you would like it though. Cali, that's the name I thought. I referenced it from my homeland, it means unwavering and strong willed. The name's sound short but it's fine, right?*"
"*That's actually a pretty nice name. It suits our boy, since the world we live in is pretty harsh so you needed to have a strong will to survive. Only the strong ones live comfortably in this world, so I can only wish that our son would live up to his name, that means unwavering and strong willed.*" The woman said.
'Damn, that's a long ass speech that I can't understand.' I thought inwardly.
"*That's true. Alright, its decided then. Do you want to add a second name or nah?*"
"*Hmm, a second name? No, its fine as it is. Cali Arisson, a pretty good name if you ask me.*" The woman finished her sentence and smiled widely towards the man.
The man paused for a moment before speaking once again.
"*Huu, it seems like you really liked the name, huh? To smile like that, you caught me off guard.*"
The woman froze and tilt her head before speaking.
"*Huh? What's wrong with my smile?*"
"*Nothing*"
'Ugh, please I don't understand what's happening and I'm getting sleepy.' I'm really starting to get annoyed. I kind of got the gist of what's happening earlier based from the constant looks and smiles and basing from their facial expressions, but right now I think I'm getting sleepy.
I yawned finally not being able to handle the sleepiness and the couple saw this.
"*Oh, we should rest now, our boy's getting sleepy.*" The woman said.
"*Ah, right, alright you may sleep already, I'll clean the mess and check the doors and windows and then sleep with you later. Don't wait for me, alright?*"
"*Are you sure? Hmm, if you say so. I'm really tired too so I might even fall asleep while waiting for you haha*"
"*Yes yes, sleep now, alright darling? Have a good night sleep*" The man stood up and kissed the woman in her forehead. The woman then nodded and finally gave me to the man. I'm currently covered in a soft blanket so the man was able to lift me no problem.
He brought me not too far away from the bed of the woman and put me down in it. Its a baby cage. A big one at that.
"*Sleep already, kid. You've been staring at us since you've come out. Its pretty much late too, so just sleep in there, 'kay?*" The man smiled at me while speaking some language that I don't even understand.
'blablabla, I can't understand you, I'll just go to sleep and think through things tomorrow.' I said inwardly and slept.
After that I fell into a good night sleep.
