"Bertha!"
Upon hearing the sound of the door opening, Mia's drowsiness instantly vanished. She jumped up from the sofa and walked quickly to meet Bertha. Seeing her disheveled clothes and flushed face, she suddenly felt a bit guilty.
"Why don't you just fire me and find a female assistant who knows martial arts? I feel completely useless."
Bertha actually quite liked Mia because she was discreet, efficient at work, and although a bit timid, it wasn't a problem.
"Protecting me is the bodyguard's duty. Your primary job is to take care of my daily needs. Just do your job well. Don't take on responsibilities that aren't yours."
"Alright, go to sleep quickly. We need to get up early tomorrow."
Mia's eyes turned red with emotion.
"Then you should go to bed early too."
"Hmm."
