When they had been dating for a year and a half, Caroline Smith took the initiative to bring up marriage with Samuel Mill. She wanted to see his attitude, but he just said to wait a little longer, fearing she was just infatuated with him like a fan with a celebrity.
After two years of dating, he still said to wait.
Caroline felt suspicious in her heart, "Samuel Mill, have you never thought of marrying me from the start?"
Samuel was silent for two seconds before responding, "You're only twenty-two this year."
Caroline anxiously said, "But you're already thirty."
Samuel said, "I can wait."
Caroline got angry, "But I don't want to wait any longer. I'm afraid if I keep waiting, you won't be mine anymore."
Samuel frowned, "If I were unfaithful, getting married wouldn't stop me from being unfaithful."
Caroline's eyes reddened, "I think you just don't like me. People say if a man really likes a woman, he'd want to marry her immediately. Why do you keep delaying it!"
