"You are joking, right?"
Alex dangerously narrows his eyes at Rennie and lifts up her chin to lock their eyes.
"I am serious, Alex."
Rennie pushes him away slowly as she turns around to lift up her bag from the bed and put it on the ground.
"We aren't working…"
"It's better if we just let each other go as… I don't want to be with someone who can't even trust me enough to share his problems."
She lets out a deep sigh as she speaks and Alex kept staring at her with his arms crossed over his chest.
A few moments pass like that and seeing that he has nothing to say, Rennie shakes her head as she prepares to leave.
"The contract you had signed with my father will expire soon and we will be automatically divorced by law…"
Rennie held the doorknob as she paused in her words briefly to take a last glance at him.
"So-"
But her eyes widen with horror as she turns her head to find Alex standing behind her with a dark expression as he picks up her bag and walks towards the window.
