At the entrance of the cinema, Lu Shouyue held a large bucket of popcorn, protecting Lin Wanwan as they walked into the theater amidst the crowd.
The movie they're watching today is a comedy, the State Preceptor's first comedy, known for its good reviews and high box office, though the attendance for this particular showing seems low.
Lin Wanwan and Lu Shouyue sat in the second-to-last row, and they were the only two there. In front and to the left sat Lu Shouyue's bodyguard, Old Zhang, and another bodyguard, Ah Hao, sat behind them to the right. Apart from them, no one occupied the front or back rows.
The movie began. After watching for a while, Lin Wanwan could only say that the State Preceptor truly lived up to his name. His grasp of imagery and scene was unmatched by ordinary directors.
As a comedy, it wasn't all that funny, yet as a drama, it had some amusing parts.
However, Lin Wanwan's thoughts were not entirely on the movie.
