"Elise Don."
Sitting across from her, Oliver Bloom suddenly spoke up, startling Elise Don.
Her guilty conscience made her look up, thinking her inner thoughts had been overheard.
But Oliver merely asked calmly,
"Why aren't you eating?"
Only then did Elise Don realize that her cola and fried chicken were untouched.
Elise forced a smile: It was a carb bomb, and she wasn't fond of it to begin with. Besides, she'd already had lunch, so how could she possibly eat more?
"I... I..."
Elise stammered a bit, then suddenly had a moment of inspiration and thought of a possibility.
She looked up, trying to find some clue from Oliver's tray—
Maybe, perhaps, possibly, was he craving some meat?
Seeing those bland dishes, Elise pushed her portion forward a bit.
"Do you... want some?"
Oliver gave her an odd look and after a moment said, "I finished eating, that's why I'm asking if you're leaving."
"Oh." Elise suddenly understood, pulled her plate back, and stood up with Oliver.
