Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: Solemn Declaration

A rather ordinary vintage car slowly climbed up the mountain road, and the checkpoint guards stood at attention and waved it through.

Oliver Bloom drove up the mountain and, sure enough, saw Elise Don's big G at a bend in the dense forest.

Oliver parked his car on the roadside as well and got out to check, finding nothing.

The big G was flashing its hazard lights, the car doors intact; it didn't seem like Elise left in a hurry.

But where could she have gone?

In the gray night sky, snowflakes drifted endlessly. The temperature in the mountains had already fallen below zero; lingering outside, the greatest danger was hypothermia.

Wearing a windbreaker, Oliver still felt cold. He couldn't help but worry about Elise, who always loved to be stylish and go solo; what was she enduring now?

Faint calls echoed through the mountains, presumably from the rescuers.

Oliver stood still, ready to leverage his connections to bring in some police dogs for search.
