Chapter 49 - Chapter 49: You Deserve It

"I've been waiting for half a month and haven't seen a shadow of you, Elise Don, what did you say before?"

If Oliver Bloom's questioning were heard by Tristan Park and his group, it would definitely cause a hair-raising effect. But to Elise Don, she was carefree and smiled even brighter.

"Sorry, I'll take you to see my hard work tomorrow."

"Let's go."

Elise Don tried to grab Oliver Bloom's hand but was dodged. She thought Oliver was still upset and angry, so she pouted and leaned closer.

Suddenly, her waist tightened, and Elise Don was pulled into the arms of a tall man.

A shadow enveloped her, mingling with the sharp scent of pine, the man's embrace was strong and deliberate, holding her firmly.

The two were so close they could hear each other's heartbeat like a drum through their arcs.

Oliver Bloom couldn't quite say what he went through in this more than half-month wait, or why, despite having gone through nothing, he felt a sense of anxiety as if an eternity had passed.
