After leaving William Don's house, Elise Don stood downstairs, facing the biting spring wind, and calmed her emotions.

Elise Don went back to her own house first, changed into home clothes, removed her makeup, and washed her face. She stopped halfway, her wet face still dripping with water, and stared at her reflection in the mirror, somewhat dazed.
Just then, the phone rang.
Elise Don looked over; it was a call from an unfamiliar number, coming in so late.
"Hello?" She pressed the speaker button.
