They inspected the finished product again, and Elise Don finally felt reassured that it was mostly perfect.
She told Annie to go home and rest, to come back tomorrow for revisions.
"I've slept at the factory, I'm good for today. I'll leave after work tonight," Annie, looking energetic, advised Elise in return, "Boss, you don't seem in great shape. You need to look pretty on stage for the launch, so go home and get some rest."
With a week left until the launch and just minor tweaks to do, Elise did indeed need more beauty sleep to be in top form.
She informed the heads of each department and left work early to go home.
Having not put much makeup on lately, Elise washed her face with cold water, changed into some fluffy home clothes and long socks, got under the covers, and soon fell asleep.
It was a deep, heavy sleep, so exhausting that she didn't even have the strength to dream.
