Serving tea and pouring water, Elise Don had never really done this kind of work before. She was inherently unskilled, and with the pressing gaze from behind, she felt like pins and needles were piercing her back. Unable to restrain her nervousness, her hands started to shake. She bent down to push the cold water button twice but couldn't turn it on.
"What's... the matter here?"
She softly complained to herself, but the person behind her had already walked over.
Even though the carpet muffled the sound, Elise Don could still feel the pressure creeping up her back as the footsteps approached.
"What's wrong?" Oliver Bloom raised his voice.
He stood behind her like a divine miracle that had suddenly appeared, carrying the essence of a cold misty morning.
Elise Don took a deep breath, "The water cooler isn't dispensing any—"
The word "water" hadn't even left her mouth when a hand extended over her head, brushed past her face, and pressed the top button.
