The movie was destined not to be watched in full.
Elise Don and Oliver Bloom left at the fortieth minute, and didn't encounter anyone in the cinema's corridor. Oliver wrapped his coat around himself and followed behind Elise.
Originally, he was holding Elise's hand as they descended the stairs, but once out of the screening hall, Elise instinctively shook off his hand and walked ahead on her own.
Things seemed to be a bit tricky now, Oliver thought; without reconciling, they had already crossed the line.
He regretted the kiss somewhat and also felt a bit fortunate about it.
Taking the elevator downstairs, they each opened a car door separately—Oliver getting into the driver's seat and Elise hesitating between the back seat and the front passenger seat, eventually settling in the front passenger seat.
She didn't want to appear too petty; it was just a kiss, after all, so she decided to act as a gracious host.
Consider it as my treat, alright.
