Quiana Sutton thought Durrell Landon was just speaking offhandedly and didn't expect him to act so quickly.

Early the next morning, it wasn't even five o'clock yet, she felt the bed beside her move.

Groggily, she opened her eyes to see someone getting out of bed briskly, but didn't pay much attention, turned over, and went back to sleep.

In a haze, she seemed to feel someone pick her up and wrap her in a soft blanket or something, and then her body kept swaying and bumping.

The embrace had a crisp, familiar scent, giving her a comforting sense of security that she was reluctant to wake from.

When she finally woke from sleep, she groggily opened her eyes to see Durrell Landon lying beside her.

His long eyelashes, like small fans, cast a faint shadow on his eyelids, and his honey-colored skin was still just as smooth and delicate, without a single blemish even up close.

No matter how many times she saw him, this man always brought a sense of awe.
