Ava Kent sighed internally, wondering what kind of perfect boss this was, willing to go such lengths for his employee.

If it weren't for his particularly clean gaze when looking at her, she might suspect he had feelings for her.

But a man like Lucas, so gentle and unpretentious, surely wouldn't be that superficial.

However, just enjoying his kindness made Ava feel a bit uneasy.

She had only been nominally linked to the Splendor Pavilion from the start, never officially working there, yet he had helped her so much; the boss was indeed at a loss.
