Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Can't Tell the Eldest Young Master from the Second Young Master

After Godfery Shaw finished bandaging the wound, he left the room directly with Basil Smith.

Amelia Wright blinked. He just left like that?

The room fell silent.

Amelia touched her empty neck, feeling a bit lost. This necklace was the token for finding her family.

In her previous life, after the replacement marriage, she was locked up for three months. When she returned to the Wright family, the necklace had been taken away. Later, it was sold at auction for a billion, resolving the Wright family's financial crisis.

Now she didn't need to find her family. She knew where they were.

However, in this life, she won't disturb her parents and brother.

She is a ghost returning from hell for revenge, purely for vengeance!

Amelia took a long breath, calming her emotions.

The cold, gray-toned room was excessively large, with a subtle chill of luxurious austerity, very similar to the feeling Godfery Shaw gave.

Amelia sat quietly on the bed, hugging her legs, too exhausted to dare fall asleep.

She feared that if she closed her eyes, everything in front of her would be a dream, and she would return to that tragic past.

After some unknown time, there was a knock on the door.

Amelia glanced at the time on the bedside. It was one in the morning.

She thought Godfery Shaw had returned, got out of bed to open the door, and saw a middle-aged man.

The butler of Imperial Garden, Lennon.

This mansion she was in was called Imperial Garden, the one and only top elite villa in Riverwood.

Godfery Shaw had many properties in Riverwood, but Imperial Garden was said to be Godfery's private domain, the residence of the two Shaw brothers. Except for the old master of the Shaw family, even the Shaw relatives were not allowed to enter without permission.

At this moment, the butler looked apologetic and said, "Sorry to bother you, Young Madam. I am Lennon, the butler of Imperial Garden. You may call me Joyce. I have a favor to ask, Young Madam."

Amelia frowned slightly, "What is it?"

Uncle Joyce hesitated a moment but still said, "It's like this, the second young master is not in a good state today. He sees no one. I'm worried he might hurt himself. Could I trouble Young Madam to go check on him and bring him some porridge?"

Amelia was puzzled, "Second young master?"

Joyce nodded, "Yes, the second young master."

Amelia pointed to herself, "You want me to see him?"

Joyce nodded again.

Amelia felt confused. The second young master's state was not good, so why was she being asked to see him?

This replacement marriage, although it was with the second young master, shouldn't it be that she was married to the elder young master?

Is it appropriate for her to see the second young master in the middle of the night?

In her previous life, Amelia never encountered these things. On her wedding night, after a big fight with Godfery Shaw, she was locked up.

Later, she left Imperial Garden by threatening her life, never having met the mysterious second young master of the Shaw family who rarely left Imperial Garden.

Amelia asked, "Where is the elder young master?"

"Uh...the elder young master went out," Joyce said awkwardly.

Amelia thought that the Shaw family's elder young master was indeed a very busy person, even on his wedding night.

Hearing the butler's tone, the second young master might hurt himself, possibly having some mental issues. Thinking about her necklace still in Godfery Shaw's hands, and considering her probation period, Amelia decided to perform well and nodded in agreement.

Joyce gratefully handed the tray to Amelia and pointedly explained, "The second floor of Imperial Garden only houses the elder young master, the second young master, and now you, Young Madam. Except for a few confidants and me, no one else is allowed upstairs without permission."

This meant that those who could go to the second floor were special.

Amelia felt uneasy. In her previous life, because she had fought with Godfery Shaw, the butler hated her to death, yet now he was subtly reminding her that Godfery valued her.

Amelia carried the tray, following the butler's directions, to the room at the end of the second-floor corridor, and knocked on the door.

A voice full of irritation came from inside, "Get lost!"

Amelia frowned slightly, "Second young master, I've brought you some late-night snack."

This time the room fell silent for a moment, then a man's suppressed voice said, "Come in."

Amelia pushed the door open and went in.

The room had the curtains drawn tightly, with only a dim yellow night lamp.

At a glance, a man in casual home clothes lay on the sofa, rubbing his temples with a sense of restless fierceness.

Amelia lowered her voice, "Second young master, are you alright? Uncle Joyce asked me to bring you some porridge. I've put it down."

Hearing the voice, the man on the sofa turned his head.

Amelia saw clearly the face in front of her, almost dropping the tray to the floor in shock.

This...is the Shaw family's second young master?

Even in the dim light, Amelia could clearly see.

This man before her...had the exact same face as Godfery Shaw!
