Chapter 5 - Chapter 04// Hold the storm

Vomit and tears

That's all I could do. I had witnessed their birth. I had watched over these cubs from young, when I came back from missions. I was treated like family. To see them now. Tears of blood, running down their cheeks, staining their royal white clothes.

"Why!?" That was all I could say. The sight of losing family over and over again. Why was this happening to me?

"Storm Holder... Originally, a navel term. To man the seas and travel true. Coined in the Xandra era" Sin grinned. Watching my reaction, he turned to look at the bloody alter of the Stormholden family.

"They hold the power... all of them do. The Xandra Era was 5000 years ago- to carry the name of Stormholden is mighty!" Sin struck a pose, sticking his chest out triumphantly. Sin had carried an aura threatening to exploded.

This inhumane being had such extraordinary fluctuations.

Who was he??

"Power like this, the mana they have inside them- perfect incubator. Young Ardun here, discovered something while playing right here, he was at an age where I couldn't make much of an influence, however..." Sin swiftly turned towards me, pointing his finger at Titus.

"Ardun passed on that treasure to young Titus , passing on weapons of the Ancients as mere f*cking trinkets" he sneered as he spat those last words out.

The man in front of me flaunting his power, his aura drastically increasing- threatening to tear me limb from limb...

"What did he find?"

Sin looked at me perplexed, his menacing look dissipated.

"Don't you know?" A wide grin appeared on his face- from ear to ear. "He found me."

--

All thoughts disappeared as Sin said those words.

This being should be stopped at all costs... even my life was that price. The feeling came and went after I felt a burning sensation across my chest...

Ah.

It was too late.

How careless of me.

As I had been on the ground staring at the Dark man, he had taken liberty to pierce me with a mana sword. All my mana had been drained as soon as the sword pierced my heart. I laid there helplessly, watching the blue sword dissipate my mana into the surroundings. Blood spurting out, I watched my life slowly drain from me. Sin grinned ear to ear with such sadistic pleasure.

I couldn't do anything... I collapsed to the ground resting my eyes to what was for the last time.

--

"Klaus"

"Klaus"

"F*cking wake up you *sshole"

Klaus' eyebrow twitched... who called him an *sshole??

He opened his eyes to find Ophelia looking down at him with an frustrated expression.

Something wasn't right. He sat right up to see Ophelia placing her index finger over her lips. Motioning him to be quiet. He nodded. She turned around and started walking slowly away to which he followed.

They walked slowly and met up with Romulus and Jasmine who were crouching behind some rocks peering into the distance. Both Ophelia and Klaus joined them, wanting to know what was going on.

"Enhanced senses" Romulus murmured, in an instant, his chant allowed the latecomers to see what was going on in the distance.

The party could now see the abysmal behemoth they fought, alive and well, standing next to its Master called Sin.

Jasmine gasped as she saw further on, the rest followed her gaze to see Titus Stormholden stuck in the air , his arms spread, dangling, as if he's being crucified. His mother, the Queen and his siblings, were on their knees-holding hands in a circle around him staring up at their crucified son & brother. Their eyes filled with blood, tears dripping down had stained their pristine white royal garments red.

Romulus gripped his staff in anger, Ophelia was trembling- Jasmine, covered her mouth whilst tears running down her cheek.

Klaus looked further. 22 laid there on the ground still, his chest ever so slightly rising and falling. He was still alive. Just barely.

--

Sin looked down upon 22.

This man bleeding profusely onto the ground before was new. His black hair had streaks of white as well has his stubble. His face drained of any color as his blood left his body.

"You know... you never appeared before; every time I try again, it was always some f*cking Hero party that stopped me."

Argo, previously King Ardun, now abysmal terror trudge along to 22, licking the blood that was on the ground.

Sin continued to gaze upon the bleeding man before turning his gaze to the floating First prince.

"Every time a Hero party stopped me, I had to use the Schism over and over again...it left your Father horribly disfigured every time- he had it for longer so of course he would pay the price. But every time I used it. He kept changing and changing. But you? You just kept giving. The mana you have is beautiful. Just perfect."

"Schism..." a whisper.

Sin looked around to find 22, breathing heavy- Sin grinned.

" Yes, The Schism, you know it right?"
