But to speak again, even the Guiding Star couldn't accomplish it. Although the Silver Sky Gateway is obviously more complete and grand than the Guiding Star, can it really achieve the complete transmission of a person's memory and spirit energy to a parallel space-time?
Ian thinks it's impossible.
Although it's not the same thing at all, there's an example Ian finds very fitting.
An object, no matter how small its mass, as it gradually accelerates to the speed of light, its mass increases continually, and the energy pushing it also grows until at the speed of light, its mass becomes infinitely large, and the energy required to propel it also becomes infinite.
The transmission of a soul to a parallel space-time is similar; if it's just a part, it's okay. Although it requires a huge amount of energy and resources, it can still be transmitted. But if one insists on 'complete' transmission, the energy and cost required would likely also be 'infinitely large'.
