The weather today is nice, neither cold nor hot.
Wen Ran sat by the river with Shen Wu grilling fish. All she had to do was sit comfortably, while he was the one busying around.
Wen Ran asked, "Where's Xiao Bai?"
"Before Ranran came, the little guy came to find her and took her out to play."
"Then would you like me to take you out to play?"
Shen Wu put down the small stick he was poking the fire with, squeezed closer to Wen Ran, and gently shook his head, "I just want to be wherever you are."
Wen Ran couldn't help but laugh, using a cloth to wipe a streak of ash from his cheek. She asked again, "Shen Jiaojiao, will you still look for Master in the future?"
Shen Wu lowered his head to make it easier for her to wipe. After a long silence, observing her expression carefully, he finally said quietly, "No."
Wen Ran let out a sigh of relief in her heart.
He lowered his eyes, "Ranran, did I make things difficult for you?"
"It did put me in a bit of a tough spot."
